    See details

This two-day B-License weekend with AXIS Flight School delivers focused canopy training for advancing skydivers in a small-group, controlled learning environment that builds confidence and enjoyment under canopy. The curriculum covers the canopy proficiency and live water landing elements tied to USPA B-License requirements D, E, and F. The written B-License exam can be completed right after the course or arranged by appointment. Participants deepen their understanding of parachute flight and learn techniques to fly safely and effectively in a range of conditions. Instruction combines classroom time with practical canopy drills, precision slow-flight practice, and work on identifying, preventing, and recovering from stalls. A 90-minute water training session satisfies the B-License water requirement and prepares jumpers for travel and events that may involve water landings. Proficient swimming is required, and a canopy with harness is supplied for use in the pool. Lift tickets and packing services are not included in the course fee. Enrollment is limited to ten participants, secured with a non-refundable deposit that is applied to the total cost. If full payment is not made in advance, the remaining balance is collected at check-in on the first morning. Deposits can be moved to a future AXIS B-License Weekend if plans change, although cancellations within 72 hours of the start time result in forfeiture. Night Jumps

    4900 N Taylor St, Eloy
    See details

At Skydive Arizona, night jumps offer a striking way to work toward D-license requirements, while welcoming qualified jumpers beyond those pursuing a D. The experience brings an extra rush of adrenaline and a surreal view of the sky. To reduce canopy congestion, each night load is split into two or three passes so fewer parachutes share the air at once. Weather permitting, the aircraft will fly only if at least 15 people are preregistered with Manifest. Registration is handled in the Manifest office and requires a jump ticket and cash, as online payments and credit cards are not accepted. Only one load with 23 slots is planned and is expected to fill quickly. If at least 15 additional people join the waiting list, a second load may be considered. A mandatory briefing will be announced and held in the main hangar or conference room 1. Have your rig packed before the briefing so there is time afterward to attach lights and allow your eyes to adjust. The cost is one jump ticket plus $30 cash, with $10 covering after-hours staffing and $20 serving as a refundable deposit for lights. For questions about lights, contact groundops@skydiveaz.com. Participants must be B license-qualified under USPA standards, including at least 50 jumps, a canopy course, and the required freefall performance. Be current and confident under the canopy you will use, bring your own gear because Square2 does not rent equipment for night jumps, carry an altimeter with a glow or backlit display and consider an audible, use clear goggles or a clear helmet faceplate, and leave tinted visors behind. Plan on a straight-in approach in calm conditions with turns limited to 90 degrees, and stay fully current on emergency procedures, including executing them in the dark.
