The Highlander Classic Disc Golf Tournament returns to Flagstaff with support from Findlay Toyota Flagstaff. Play unfolds in a Scotch Doubles format that uses continuous alternate shot. Partners decide who tees first, then switch every throw for the entire round. The event features two rounds along with a separate Putting Contest, and the courses in Flagstaff, Arizona will be announced. Food and drinks are provided by Fratelli Pizza, Swire Coca Cola, and Historic Brewing. Expect cash payouts and prizes, CTP challenges, raffles, and plenty of refreshments. Details for a BBQ potluck will be shared. The Putting Contest has its own entry fee and welcomes participants who are not playing the main tournament. Each registered tournament player receives one entry. It is winner take all if minimum participation is reached, with entry fees refunded if that threshold is not met. This is an unsanctioned event that keeps the focus on fun and a positive impact on the disc golf community. Payouts and trophies will be awarded after the final round. In partnership with Findlay Toyota Flagstaff, proceeds benefit a local Flagstaff charity, with the 2026 beneficiary to be determined. Previous beneficiaries include the Boys & Girls Club of Flagstaff, Shadows Foundation, Friends of Coconino County Parks, and Flagstaff Disc Golf Club.

This multi-generational beginner archery clinic is a hands-on introduction to archery for anyone with no prior experience. You’ll learn the basics of using beginner-friendly equipment, key terminology, and important shooting safety and range etiquette, then get plenty of time to practice. Pre-registration is required, and youth under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Meet in the Trinity Heights United Methodist parking lot for a Trail Day focused on trail maintenance and new trail construction at the Base Elden Loops. Please RSVP at least a day in advance to help with planning. Coffee will be available before work begins, and beverages and a tasty lunch are provided. Wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, long pants, sunscreen, and bring water and head protection, which are required. Hardhats, gloves, tools, and trail work instruction will be provided. The effort runs on the second Saturday of each month from June through September, offering a chance to enjoy the sunshine while helping care for this local resource. Presented by Discover Flagstaff and The Orpheum, this installment of The Music of Route 66 Concert Series brings Honeygirl & The Sundusters to the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Flagstaff, celebrating the sounds linked to the legendary highway. Honeygirl, a country singer and songwriter from Queen Creek, Arizona, is known for vivid storytelling, a lively stage presence, and a style that ranges from classic country roots to a rock-tinged edge. The group is led by vocalist and writer Kira Brown alongside seasoned players, including guitarist Scotty Johnson of the Gin Blossoms. Her musical path began early while watching her father play bass at weekly garage-band sessions, grew through a turn as the local 'Kiraoke' queen, and evolved into a songwriting partnership with Johnson that fuels dynamic shows featuring original tunes and favorite covers with a good-time spirit and homegrown Arizona grit. This all-ages event takes place in an indoor historic venue. Tickets cost the same whether purchased at the box office or online. A full bar and concessions are available, and outside food and beverages are not permitted. Empty, soft, clear water bottles are allowed, while metal, hard plastic, and insulated bottles are not. The venue generally enforces a no re-entry policy unless otherwise noted. Parking is not available on site. A clear bag policy will be in effect. Guests may bring a clear stadium bag up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches or a one-gallon clear zip bag. Blood on the Clocktower is a social deduction game of bluffing, strategy, and hidden roles. In the troubled town of Ravenswood Bluff, a demon conceals itself among the villagers while the Good team seeks the truth and the Evil team works to mislead them. Days feature open discussion, clue sharing, and votes to eliminate suspects, then nights unfold in secrecy as the Storyteller guides players through actions, information, and deadly plots. Every player holds a unique ability, and even those who fall can still influence the outcome as ghosts. Late arrivals can step in as powerful Traveller characters with unpredictable allegiances. Sessions run on the second Sunday and third Thursday each month at Good Game Cafe. Entry is $10 for standard admission and $8 for students, with free entry for Standard and Premium members.

Start or refresh your painting practice with a welcoming new group focused on exploring a variety of mediums. Expect to work with acrylic craft paint, high flow and tube paints, acrylic pens, watercolors, and pencils. Camp under the dark skies of Sunset Crater National Monument at the O’Leary Group Campground, West Loop, for a weekend focused on stargazing and easy exploration. Costs are shared evenly among campers, estimated at about 30 to 35 dollars per tent or camper for the weekend. Those who prefer four walls will find plenty of hotel options in Flagstaff, and all services are located there. This weekend coincides with the peak of the Perseids meteor shower, offering excellent opportunities for night sky viewing. During the day, enjoy several easy walking trails within the monument. The Grand Canyon National Park South Rim, east entrance, is approximately 70 miles away for anyone considering a side trip. Hosts plan to provide chilidogs on Friday night and will bring wood for a shared fire pit. Individual fires are not allowed. Drinking water is available at the campground, and participants should bring whatever they need for a comfortable getaway along with a side dish for Friday if possible. At roughly 7,000 feet in elevation, expect cool nights and pleasant days. From Flagstaff, travel north on US 89, then turn onto the Sunset Crater Volcano-Wupatki Loop Road and continue to the O’Leary campground.

When Ruth’s car gives out near Flagstaff, her detour becomes a whirlwind as Mother Road, a mischievous spirit who embodies Route 66, stirs up a little roadside magic and sweeps her through Northern Arizona. Along the way she meets James, a tow truck mechanic with canyon sized dreams and punchlines. This production blends a play with interactive moments, taking cues from the British tradition of end of the pier shows. It brims with pun filled gags, gleefully larger than life characters, and big laughs for all ages. A play within a play, it salutes Flagstaff, the Grand Canyon, and the quirky beauty that makes Route 66 a one of a kind journey. Presented at the Museum of Northern Arizona.

This new science series shines a light on urgent global challenges and the people working toward innovative solutions. It is hosted by Miles O’Brien, an award-winning journalist known for covering science, technology, aerospace and the environment, and for his work with PBS NewsHour, NOVA and FRONTLINE. The Orpheum is a historic indoor venue in the heart of downtown, and the event is open to all ages. Please plan for venue guidelines. There is no on-site parking. Buying at the box office costs the same as purchasing online. A full bar and concessions will be available, and outside food or beverages are not allowed. Empty, soft, clear water bottles are permitted, while metal, hard plastic and insulated bottles are not. Unless otherwise noted by the show, re-entry is not allowed.
