With their home at risk, SpongeBob and friends rally to protect their underwater community, and an unlikely hero steps forward to show how optimism can make all the difference. Based on the animated series created by Stephen Hillenburg, this Broadway production features a book by Kyle Jarrow and an original score by a wide range of artists, including Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, the Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! Henry Kapono

The Canyon Club & Special Events Center welcomes Henry Kapono, a leading figure in contemporary Hawaiian music. Henry Kapono Ka‘aihue rose to national attention as half of Cecilio & Kapono, the first group from Hawai‘i to land a national recording deal with Columbia Records, and their songs became touchstones for a generation. He went on to build a prolific solo career with more than 20 albums and a worldwide following, blending island roots, folk, and rock into music that reflects the spirit, culture, and everyday life of the islands. A versatile vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter, he is recognized for a soulful voice, a magnetic stage presence, and a deep connection with audiences. His ongoing tributes to the C&K legacy, including his celebrated Songs of C&K concerts, sit alongside his acclaimed solo work. Over the years he has earned 21 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards and a Grammy nomination, received Punahou School’s O in Life Award in 2023, and was honored with the Aloha Is Award in 2024 for contributions to community and culture through music. He also supports emerging artists through the Henry Kapono Foundation. Attendees younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Jungleland 100th - A Roarin’ Return

At Stagecoach Inn Museum, this centennial tribute honors Goebel’s Lion Farm, founded in 1926 and later known as Jungleland. Attendees can explore the legacy of one of Southern California’s iconic attractions through engaging talks, the Conejo Valley’s only exhibition devoted to Jungleland artifacts and memorabilia, a gallery walk, and activities for families. The program highlights Fred Nuesca, a former Jungleland aerialist who shares video and personal stories, Jana Goldsworthy portraying famed tiger trainer Mabel Stark, and Ventura County historian Richard Senate presenting a documentary and photographs about Jungleland. Animal face painting and photo opportunities add to the experience. The 7th Annual Simi’s Endless Summer Beer Fest is presented by the Rotary Club of Simi Sunset as part of its Rotary After Dark series. Billed as Simi Valley’s original beer festival, it highlights local craft brewing with two dozen breweries pouring more than 50 options across beer, cider, and seltzer. Tickets include unlimited tastings. Enjoy live music and a variety of food trucks while the spotlight stays on the beer and the community it supports. Savitt has appeared on Funny is Funny, The Bob & Tom Show, and Man Up Stand Up, and he won both the Boston Comedy Festival and the Seattle Comedy Competition. Yenser’s credits include Conan, Gutfeld!, and SNL’s Weekend Update, with writing work for The Babylon Bee and The Oscars. Ducharme has been seen on F is for Family, Mission: Organization, and Next Stop Wonderland, and he co-hosts the podcast 2 ALs 1 Pod with Al Romas. Jason Love produces the Sunday Night Comedy at the Center series and does not appear at every show, and the monthly lineup lists the comedians for each date. Orianthi

Presented by The Canyon, blues rock guitarist Orianthi takes the spotlight with the fiery playing and soulful vocals that have defined her 25-year career. To mark this milestone, she wrote, produced, and recorded her single First Time Blues at Robby Krieger’s Love Street Sound studio for Woodward Avenue Records, cutting it live after honing it on stage. The track features Justin Andres on bass and vocals, Carey Frank on keyboards, Nick Maybury on electric and acoustic guitar, and Elias Mallin on drums, with a second guitar solo contributed by three-time Grammy nominee Joe Bonamassa. Australian-born and based in Los Angeles, Orianthi began performing professionally at thirteen and has collaborated with Carlos Santana, Steve Vai, Alice Cooper, Richie Sambora, and Dave Stewart. She was chosen for Michael Jackson’s This Is It tour and appears in the concert film, has released multiple solo albums since her 2005 debut Violet Journey, performed on American Idol, and played the Grammys alongside Carrie Underwood. Her achievements include recognition by Elle magazine among its 12 greatest female electric guitarists and Guitar International’s Breakthrough Guitarist of the Year honor. Thelma Houston

The Canyon Club & Special Events Center welcomes Thelma Houston for a performance highlighting a storied career rooted in gospel and crowned by pop, R&B, and dance success. The Mississippi-born singer started in the 1960s with the Art Reynolds Singers, moved to Capitol Records for her first hit Baby Mine, and released her 1969 solo debut Sunshower with Jimmy Webb. A subsequent move to Motown brought her signature hit Don’t Leave Me This Way, a Gold record that earned the Grammy for Best R&B Female Vocal Performance and made her the first solo female Motown artist to receive that honor. She has appeared on major television specials, performed from the Hollywood Bowl to Las Vegas stages, and collaborated with artists including Chaka Khan, Mavis Staples, Morrissey, and dance producers Bimbo Jones. A member of the Dance Music Hall of Fame and honored as an Apollo Legend, she remains active on stage and in the studio, while supporting organizations such as the Human Rights Campaign, the NAACP, and AIDS-related charities.
