Inspired by the animated world created by Stephen Hillenburg, this musical features a book by Kyle Jarrow and an eclectic score from artists such as Yolanda Adams, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Coulton, Alexander Ebert of Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Flaming Lips, Lady A, Cyndi Lauper, John Legend, Panic! At the Disco, Plain White T’s, They Might Be Giants and T.I., with songs by David Bowie, Tom Kenny and Andy Paley. Additional lyrics are by Jonathan Coulton, with additional music by Tom Kitt, and the production was conceived by Tina Landau. Brimming with colorful characters, big-hearted humor, and buoyant music, this undersea spectacle welcomes both longtime fans and newcomers.

The second Sunset Dinner of the summer features Mirage, a high-energy tribute to Fleetwood Mac. Taking its name from one of the band’s best-selling albums, the group captures the harmonies and spirit of the classic lineup, with Michelle Tyler as Stevie Nicks, Rick Thibodeau as John McVie, Annie Boxell as Christine McVie, Keith Foelsch as Lindsey Buckingham, and Larry Perpoli as Mick Fleetwood. Guests may explore the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and the America 250 exhibit, along with the Air Force One Pavilion, with check-in available for those attending both the concert with dinner or the concert only. General admission is $55 per person for concert tickets with general seating, and food and beverages are available for purchase at the Reagan Pub. The set moves through favorites like Treasure, When I Was Your Man, and Uptown Funk for an interactive concert feel that captures the polish and punch of the originals. This intimate songwriter open mic takes place at NAMBA’s Listening Room and is hosted by Ventura musician Henry Stewart. The stage welcomes both local and visiting artists to share original songs, with the option to include one well loved cover, for an attentive crowd. Each performer has up to ten minutes, supported by a professional setup that includes quality sound, microphones, direct inputs, monitors, and access to the venue’s grand piano. Drinks are available for purchase to complement the relaxed atmosphere. The gathering also serves as a community fundraiser, with donations supporting NAMBA Performing Arts Space. Supported by VibeWell Ventura County, admission is free for the public and the usual $2.50 processing fee is waived at the door.
