The Commons Venue, 802 S Santa Fe Ave., Vista
    See details

Día de Muertos Vista debuts as a citywide street celebration honoring Mexico’s enduring remembrance tradition through art, heritage, and community connection. A central stretch in Vista will be reimagined into a lively cultural route, extending roughly two blocks between The Commons Venue and Ascend Coffee Roasters, bringing independent, family-owned businesses to the forefront. Created by The Movement Brand in collaboration with Ascend Coffee Roasters and The Commons Venue, the festival is designed to energize a long-overlooked corridor by fostering visibility, economic opportunity, and cultural pride at the heart of the community. The program highlights the Indigenous and regional diversity of Mexico, with special attention to Oaxacan culture. Highlights include authentic performances, ceremonial altars, live music, artisan vendors, food experiences, youth activities, and immersive community installations. Guests can help build shared public altars, take part in sugar skull workshops, witness traditional danza and ceremonial offerings, and explore a curated marketplace featuring artists, makers, and culturally rooted brands. More than a single gathering, this effort aims to preserve tradition, strengthen community identity, and establish a new annual destination for North County. Sponsorship supports cultural programming, youth engagement, opportunities for artists, community accessibility, and the safeguarding of a meaningful tradition, offering partners recognition as founding supporters of Vista’s first official Día de Muertos street festival.
