    Tom Conneely brings a solo performance to Sailing Goat at Point San Pablo Harbor. As the singer and guitarist leading Tom Conneely & Birds of Paradise, the San Francisco project behind the debut album Cappuccino Springs and the home-recorded follow up Sun Child, he draws on a body of work shaped by wide West Coast touring and a notable appearance at Reno’s Offbeat Festival. The band is a collaboration between Conneely and bassist Alois Cerbu, who tracked and engineered Sun Child and the forthcoming New Kind Palace themselves. New Kind Palace builds on that evolution, blending warm analog textures with inventive electronic touches and impressionistic lyrics, with a hypnotic current that nods to Arthur Russell and the lo-fi melodicism of The Cleaners of Venus. Much of the material grew out of sessions in bedrooms and other makeshift rooms, much of it captured on quarter inch tape, reflecting a process centered on honesty, experimentation, and facing inner turbulence alongside moments of clarity. The campus includes 100 units and ADA-compliant buildings that support case management, educational workshops, dining, recreation, laundry, and a pet area. This meal service supports residents in a modern, comfortable place to temporarily call home.
