This storytime takes place in the library's children's area and is created for families with 2 to 3 year olds. The session lasts about 20 to 25 minutes and features short books, songs, and simple fingerplay activities. Adults participate alongside their toddlers, sitting close together and helping them follow along. Afterward, books suited for toddlers can be checked out.

Taking place in the Children's Section of the Library, this baby-focused storytime includes a 10 to 15 minute mix of songs and simple stories. Caregivers sit on the floor with babies in their laps and participate together. After the stories, there is an opportunity to connect with other parents of infants.

Children are welcome to read aloud to Barney, a certified listening dog who offers a calm, encouraging setting for practicing reading skills. If it rains, the dogs stay home, so please call on the day to confirm the session is taking place.

Tickets are available for Maker Faire Bay Area 2026 at Mare Island Naval Shipyard. It offers a weekend of creative exploration, inventive ideas, and interactive making. This year also marks a homecoming, honoring the 20th anniversary of the very first Maker Faire, which began in the Bay Area in 2006.

For tweens and teens, this screen-free hangout in the Doña Benicia room features foosball, air hockey, ping pong, and a pool table, along with board games or puzzles. Snacks will be available. Funding is provided by the Friends of the Benicia Library.

Silog Saturdays at Quickly Benicia highlights authentic Filipino breakfast plates centered on silog, pairing garlicky rice and eggs with beloved morning classics. The menu emphasizes comforting flavors and a sit-down meal to savor with family and friends. Guests familiar with Filipino breakfasts will find a nostalgic taste of home, while first-timers get a welcoming introduction to a favorite comfort food tradition. Community and flavor come together here, and silog plates can be enjoyed alongside a favorite boba drink.

Community Cat Advocates hosts an in-store adoption showcase at the Vallejo PetSmart, featuring cats and kittens ready for loving homes. Every animal adopted through the group has been spayed or neutered, tested, microchipped, and vaccinated according to age and time in rescue. They are also dewormed and treated for fleas. As a foster-based rescue, the cats live in home settings when they are not at adoption events, which helps them adjust to family life. Adoption appointments at the Vallejo PetSmart are available for approved applications and specific cats. Community Cat Advocates is entirely volunteer run, with team members donating their time to help place animals in safe, caring homes.
