Tuesday Night Dance: Hip Hop
Move with confidence at a hip hop dance session at Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Built on street dance roots, this class spotlights rhythm, musicality, and genuine personal expression. Participants learn essential grooves and fresh choreography in a welcoming, upbeat environment that supports both beginners and experienced dancers. Expect to get moving, work up a sweat, and have fun. The class is led by Sakina Ibrahim, founder of the Dance Arts Academy Foundation, a program in Orange County and Los Angeles offering classes that include Creative Movement, Hip Hop, Latin, and Ballet Folklorico. Her training includes intensive study at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, Bates Dance Festival, and Broadway Dance Center, along with cultural study at the Dagbe Cultural Arts Center in Ghana.

This recurring series on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month features a fitness-led walk covering approximately 2 to 3 miles on nearby trails, creating opportunities to connect with the community and take in the sunset. Check-in takes place near Sephora in front of the fountain at Irvine Spectrum, and the walk concludes at Vuori Irvine Spectrum with post-walk refreshments for participants.
