Perogie Dash features a 5K run and health walk along with a 1K kids fun run. Hosted by Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, the event supports The Healing Hearts Center for Grief and Loss. There is no need to bring something in order to take something, and you are also welcome to donate without taking anything. During frosty periods, only indoor plants are included. Seed packets and seeds saved from your garden may be left or collected as well.

EveryBody Dances at the Yale Schwarzman Center welcomes the community into the Dance Studio for masterclasses spanning jazz, hip hop, salsa, modern, contemporary, and precision dance. This summer features a six week series led by rotating Pilobolus artists Reneé Jaworski, Emily Kent, Matt Kent, and Derion Loman. Participants take a studio based deep dive into Pilobolus practices, exploring improvisation, partnering, and collaborative choreography. Each class offers a playful warm up, focused skill labs, and a quick composition that concludes with a brief share. Drop ins are welcome any week, and the sequence is structured to progress for those attending regularly. The work aims to expand improvisation range and physical listening, build partnering literacy with attention to weight sharing, counterbalance, and trust, develop group composition tools centered on structure, editing, and clarity, and strengthen ensemble skills rooted in communication, consent, and creative leadership.

Learn the art of Detroit style pizza in a hands-on class at Michelina’s Apizza & Ristorantè. The session begins with a playful introduction to dough tossing, then moves into a brief history of Detroit style pizza. Participants learn to make both dough and sauce, with all ingredients sourced from a single place to make it easy to repeat the process at home. An instructor demonstrates how to portion and ball the mixed dough, stretch it by hand without a rolling pin, assemble the pizza, launch it into the oven, bake, slice, and enjoy the results. The class runs about three and a half hours, including roughly two and a half hours of instruction and one hour dedicated to pizza making. Park City Music Hall welcomes the Bella Rayne Band, a guitar-forward group led by an 18-year-old self-taught guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter raised in coastal Mendocino, California with roots in the North Carolina mountains. Her style blends jam-band energy, Southern rock accents, 90s grunge grit, and a psychedelic streak, drawing on rock, Americana, and bluegrass. Her path started during the pandemic when she revived an old Stratocaster from the garage and taught herself by ear. Since then she has shared stages with Allman Betts Family Revival, Melvin Seals & JGB, ALO, Jackie Greene, Oteil Burbridge, and members of Terrapin Family, earned recognition from Susan Tedeschi in Guitar World, and was entrusted by the Grateful Guitars Foundation to play Jerry Garcia’s famed Alligator guitar. The band delivers a high-energy show with soulful Southern rock, modern Americana, reinterpretations of Grateful Dead songs, and original material, performed by a young lineup of seasoned musicians. Her work with the Grateful Guitars Foundation also supports music education through school visits that inspire young people, especially girls, to take up instruments. This event is all ages. General admission is $20 plus online ticketing fees. Park City Music Hall offers a full bar and kitchen serving craft cocktails and bites, opening at doors and remaining open until the venue indicates the kitchen has closed. Seating is very limited in this primarily standing-room space, and when available it is first come, first served.

Throughout the season, the market offers live music each week, periodic cooking demos with Chef Raquel and Deja Smith of Khemi’s Vegan Cuisine, a wide selection of fresh vegetables, and tasty lunch options. Summer @ The Well is a warm season series that brings live music and social time to The Well, the pub on the lower floor of the Yale Schwarzman Center. This edition spotlights the Jeff Brock Trio. Yale professor Jeff Brock performs with his trio in the last installment before a new academic year begins. Beyond his musical pursuits, Brock serves as dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science and holds the William S. Massey Professorship of Mathematics as well as a professorship in Statistics and Data Science.

A free downtown block party concert series brings live music, local bites, sidewalk deals, and community-centered entertainment. For this installment, Pop Rocks provides the soundtrack. Jon Batiste brings his live show to Westville Music Bowl for an all ages audience, presented by Premier Concerts, Manic Presents, and Bowery Presents. An eight time Grammy winner and recipient of both Academy and Emmy Awards, Batiste is known for a boundary crossing approach to music and a focus on inclusivity and cultural exploration. His recent studio album, BIG MONEY, draws on gospel, soul, blues, folk, and rock and roll, features collaborations with No I.D., Randy Newman, and Andra Day, earned three nominations at the 2026 Grammy Awards, and won Best Americana Album. He supported the album with a national headlining run that hit more than 30 venues across the country and regularly sold out. Before that, he launched his solo piano series with Beethoven Blues in 2024, reimagining iconic Beethoven themes; it spent nine weeks at the top of Billboard’s Classical Albums chart and delivered his strongest sales week to date. In 2023, World Music Radio arrived with guests including Jon Bellion, Lana Del Rey, and Lil Wayne, receiving five Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. Batiste was also the focus of Matthew Heineman’s Netflix documentary American Symphony, released with Higher Ground, which followed a year that included nine Grammy nominations and five wins for the album We Are. He co wrote the film’s original song It Never Went Away, which received an Oscar nomination and won the Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media. Earlier honors include 2020 Grammy nominations for Chronology of a Dream: Live at the Village Vanguard and Meditations with Cory Wong.
