Departing from Avalon Park Gym, this group road ride features three main pace options on the Fort route. The A group rides 22 mph and faster as a drop ride for about 60 miles. The B group aims for roughly 19 to 21 mph on the Fort route with options between 35 and 60 miles. The C group cruises near 16 to 19 mph with the same distance choices. An early option is also available on the I-way covering about 20 to 23 miles.

The session is organized into two parts. The first focuses on choosing formula, explaining the main types and what truly sets them apart, how to read labels and look past marketing, when cow’s milk based, specialized, or gentle options may or may not be a fit, and the signs that suggest trying something different and when to discuss it with a pediatrician. The second part builds confidence with bottle feeding skills, including how to select bottles and nipples and understand flow rate, the purpose of paced feeding and how it protects babies, recognizing hunger and fullness cues, positioning for calm feeds, how much and how often to offer, ways to avoid overfeeding, safe preparation and storage for both formula and expressed milk, approaches to combo feeding, what is known about nipple confusion, and ideas to try if a baby refuses the bottle. Guidance comes from two perspectives. Dr. Irissa Rosario, MD, a board-certified pediatrician with fifteen years of experience caring for newborns and their families, teams up with Giovana Rorato, IBCLC and owner of Lactation Station, who brings deep, hands-on lactation expertise, so families hear both the medical and lactation sides in one place. Participants compare real formula options, handle different bottles and nipples, and practice paced feeding, leaving with a clear plan that fits their baby and daily life. There is time for questions, and snacks and tea are provided. Expecting parents, those returning to work, and anyone already navigating feeding are welcome.

Payouts follow a one in four cash ratio, and with a full field five teams earn prize money. The field is limited to 22 teams. Entry is $150 per team, or $50 per bowler, and the event uses 70 percent of 230 for handicap. Averages are verified using the highest current Bowl.com listing with at least 21 games from 2025 to 2026 or 2024 to 2025. If neither applies, the highest 2023 to 2024 yearbook average on Bowl.com with at least 21 games is used. If there is still no record, up to three prior seasons in the book may be reviewed. Bowlers without an average compete scratch. When a current average differs by 10 pins or more from the previous season, a composite figure may be applied. The tournament director may adjust a player’s average when necessary, and a minimum entering average of 110 is required. Side action includes two $5 handicap singles bracket sets covering games 1 through 3 and 2 through 4, a $10 handicap high game, and optional $25 singles for scratch, handicap, seniors, and women. A $25 Strike It Big all in pot is also available. The lane condition will be announced. If a paid entrant does not appear, the entry fee is forfeited. Teams can secure a spot by paying in advance or placing a $20 team deposit. Electronic payments through Venmo and PayPal are accepted to reduce cash handling.
