The class also reviews course materials and explains how to request Nitrox and use a Nitrox analyzer. This course requires each participant to purchase and complete the designated eLearning prior to the session. Learning begins at home with eLearning, then continues with classroom and pool sessions to build comfort in a controlled environment. The course concludes with open water checkout dives, and the final two are completed from a dive boat. Rental gear is provided, including a BCD, regulator, dive computer, wetsuit, and weights, and certification is issued through a globally recognized training agency. The only items to purchase are a mask, fins, snorkel, and an SMB, with guidance available to help select the right fit. A typical schedule features classroom and pool training on Saturday, followed by open water checkout dives the next Saturday and Sunday, including a boat dive. Class sizes are kept small for personalized attention. No prior experience is required, just basic swimming ability and a sense of adventure to explore oceans, springs, reefs, and shipwrecks.
