Preschool Playtime offers open play and social time for little ones and their caregivers, hosted by the Youth Services department at Titusville Public Library. Babies, young toddlers, and children age 5 and under can explore, play, and interact while adults connect nearby. A responsible adult is required to stay with each child. Hosted by the City of Rockledge, this free, family-friendly celebration pairs a back to school supply drive with an end of summer party to help local students begin the year prepared and confident. The goal is to equip 250 students with essential materials through community support. Attendees can look forward to games, music, treats, and more. Requested donations include college ruled notebook paper, plastic notebooks in 1 inch and 3 inch sizes, three-prong folders, graph paper, #2 pencils, blue and black pens, crayons, markers, highlighters, dry erase markers, erasers, kid-safe and regular scissors, rulers, sticky notes, notebook dividers, disinfecting wipes, tissues, pencil boxes or holders, pencil sharpeners, and gallon-size resealable bags. Monetary and supply donations are also accepted at City of Rockledge City Hall. Together, the community can help every child start the school year stronger.

This event proceeds regardless of the weather and showcases live music by Pink Spice Band. Food trucks will be available on site for convenient dining.

The teacher, Lindsay Hawkins, is a mesa carrier in the Q’ero tradition trained by Shannon Davis and a certified Nervous System Regulation and Mindset Coach. With deep respect for Andean teachings, she holds spaces for healing, empowerment, and reconnection for individuals and families. A mother of 5 year old twins, she is dedicated to supporting the next generation with age appropriate Children’s Munay Ki and Mesa Rites classes that help kids connect with their inner light, strengthen energetic protection, and cultivate a loving relationship with the Earth and their spirit. She brings 22 years of experience as a pediatric anesthetist along with CPR certification, blending clinical insight with shamanic practice to support nervous system regulation and mindset growth, reduce stress, integrate past experiences, and foster greater balance and vitality. Through individual coaching, healing sessions, and family classes, she provides a caring, safe environment for deep personal growth and holistic well being. This gathering is free as a love donation offering. Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the class.

Offered on select dates, this evening gives children a fun poolside experience. The fee is $13.12 for the first child and $11.12 for each additional child. Families explore the Indian River Lagoon after dark on a bioluminescent paddle in a unique Florida ecosystem. Participants travel by kayak or paddleboard through glowing water while learning about dinoflagellates and lagoon ecology. Glow sticks, neon paint, and hands-on night science create an eco-adventure that blends exploration and education as part of a Miles4theMinds summer tradition.
