    Charlie Mars

    Eddie's Attic, 515 N McDonough St, Decatur · verified Jul 31
    See details

Charlie Mars brings a heartfelt performance to Eddie's Attic, shaped by Mississippi roots and a recent life shift to a quiet gravel road in Yalobusha County. After moving to the country for a 130-pound Cane Corso from Brazil purchased with cryptocurrency, he put away the television, learned to grow his own vegetables, met the neighbors, and began writing about the world just outside his door. Raised on 80s pop alongside the timeless songwriting of artists like Neil Young and Jackson Browne, he formed his first band in high school and studied English at SMU, building a craft that values clear, thoughtful storytelling. His songs refuse to sit in a single box, drawing from a less commercial strain of country, the improvisational spirit of jam bands, alt-country, and the spacious atmospheres associated with Daniel Lanois. Across seven studio albums, plus EPs and singles released over two decades, he has pursued honest self-reflection, confronting pride, fear, cynicism, and doubt in the search for real happiness. He has shared the stage with REM, KT Tunstall, and Steve Earle, and his work has been featured in Forbes, USA Today, and American Songwriter. Onstage, he aims to speak for the people and the culture that made him, bringing that perspective to this show at Eddie's Attic.

    Momo Boyd

Terminal West, 887 W Marietta St NW, Atlanta · verified Aug 2
    See details

Zero Mile Presents welcomes Momo Boyd to Terminal West for an all ages performance. A singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist born in Detroit and raised between Detroit and New York, Momo is known for a soulful voice and vivid storytelling. She first drew wide attention with Infinity Song, the soft rock and soul group she started with her siblings, building a loyal following through viral appearances and releases like Haters Anthem, Slow Burn, and Sinking Boat, with Haters Anthem written and produced by Momo herself. Her path includes a collaboration with Jon Batiste at Carnegie Hall for the world premiere of American Symphony. She later stepped forward as a solo artist with American Love Song, a genre-blending single performed with a New York string quartet that set a reflective yet liberating tone. She also appears on Good Flirts from Baby Keem’s album Ca$ino, which features Kendrick Lamar, a collaboration for which she was chosen by music director Dave Free. Listeners often connect her sound to figures such as Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Nina Simone, while she fuses soul, R&B, rock, gospel, and jazz into a style that feels both personal and current. Influences span Ella Fitzgerald, Lauryn Hill, Donny Hathaway, Solange, Tyler, the Creator, Beyonce, Geese, SZA, Lana Del Rey, and her sister Victory Boyd. Performing since childhood with her family, Momo now brings seasoned musicianship on guitar and bass. Beyond the stage, she spends time writing, reading, and reflecting on human nature, beauty, and self care as forms of creative expression. Her aim is to make music that helps people feel seen and connected, guided by a purpose to be an ally through sound and soul.
