Red Light Running Society brings people together at Red Light Cafe in Atlanta to encourage happy, healthy and active lives. Everyone is welcome, whether you prefer to walk, jog or run. Participants are asked to review and sign the liability and media release waivers, and registration is optional but helps with planning. The gathering starts at the cafe with coffee or water and time for warmups, stretching or a quick change. The cafe then locks while the group heads out to Piedmont Park or the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, moving at comfortable paces and splitting into smaller groups as needed. After the outing, the cafe reopens for a relaxed cooldown with refreshments and optional post cardio strength training that covers simple push, pull and leg exercises with free weights. Some equipment is available, and personal dumbbells are welcome. Those who are not participating in the walk, jog or run can still stop by afterward for espresso or stronger drinks, treats, music and conversation at the cafe. This is not organized as a park run.
