Start the morning with stories, songs, and playful activities at the East Atlanta Library. Designed for children from birth to age five with an adult caregiver, this free program is open to the public and offers a welcoming space to connect with other families. It takes place on most Wednesday mornings.

A heartening and uplifting musical is presented in the sanctuary, filled with lively songs, lighthearted humor, and plenty of imaginative flair. There is no charge for admission and everyone is welcome. Performances take place across several days, offering flexibility for a variety of schedules.

Create Dunwoody invites community members and organizations of all kinds, including families, schools, neighborhood groups, nonprofits, individuals, and businesses, to help enliven the Greater Dunwoody Village area with the Dunwoody Scarecrow Showdown, now in its third year, alongside a debut Pumpkin Art Exhibit. Decorated scarecrows and pumpkin creations will appear throughout the area, with a featured showcase along the fence at the historic Cheek Spruill House. Display space along that fence is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Participants may purchase through Create Dunwoody a set of three plastic pumpkins in different sizes to decorate and submit to the exhibit, and real pumpkins are not permitted because they deteriorate. Scarecrow kits can be found at Ace Hardware. Entry costs $50 for individuals, community groups, and nonprofits, and $100 for businesses, with no fee for Village Businesses.

Designed by a board-certified music therapist, this caregiver-and-child music class at HippoHopp Indoor Playground brings families together to create and explore sound in an inclusive, playful setting. Children of all ages and abilities can sing, move, and try simple instruments alongside siblings, grandparents, and other relatives who are encouraged to participate. Musical activities spark creativity with rhythm, foster social connection among neurodiverse and neurotypical peers, support language growth through singing, and build motor skills through hands-on instrument play. The session also engages the brain to strengthen cognitive development, while shared music-making deepens the bond between children and their caregivers. Participation is free with the purchase of an open-play pass at HippoHopp.

Admission is complimentary and the activities welcome all ages.
