The incident at the heart of the trial begins with a summer boat ride led by the son of a powerful politician, joined by an ex-partner and old friends. Hours later, one passenger is dead, another is in a coma, and the driver faces a murder charge. The question for the jury is whether jealousy sparked the tragedy or if there is more beneath the surface. Audience participation determines the path and the verdict, making every performance unique. Voting is handled on a smartphone by scanning a QR code displayed in the venue, with on-site staff available to assist. The experience lasts about one hour and doors open half an hour before. Phones must stay on silent throughout. Photography and video are allowed only during the curtain call and without flash. There are no strobe lights. Content includes themes of domestic violence, emotional manipulation, alcohol use, and a distressing emergency call, and the performance features moments of intense emotional conflict.
