At Nā Lama Kukui, Tech Savvy Teens partners with AARP Hawaiʻi and Spectrum for the fifth annual Tech Savvy Teen Expo, a free morning focused on friendly, one-to-one help for kūpuna on Oʻahu. Teens ages 13 to 17 sit side by side with seniors to troubleshoot smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Apple Watches, using clear language and patient guidance with no jargon or judgment. Short mini sessions roll out every 15 minutes with tips on smartphone basics, video calling, staying safe online, and spotting scams. Teen leaders also take the stage every 30 minutes for live demos, while community resource booths round out the experience. Beyond hands-on support, the expo highlights a growing talent pipeline as youth build real customer service and troubleshooting skills, then step into paid and volunteer roles that pave the way to high-skill, high-wage tech careers. The event serves seniors 65 and older and also attracts IT and senior-service providers, workforce and mentorship partners, and other community collaborators interested in how this model develops emerging tech talent. Past editions at Windward Mall, Pearlridge Mall, The KEY Project, and Kūhiō Mall in Hilo have welcomed 100 to 200 learners each, contributing to more than 3,000 volunteer hours and support for over 2,500 kūpuna. It is an intergenerational celebration of learning and connection where teens lead and kūpuna gain confidence using their own devices, and everyone leaves a little more connected.

Celebrate Queen Liliʻuokalani, the last reigning monarch of Hawai‘i, who dedicated herself to protecting her people and restoring Hawaiian sovereignty. Her courage, leadership, and resilience continue to inspire people across Hawai‘i and beyond. Kamaʻāina receive free admission to Waimea Valley with a valid state ID.

FIT4MOM Honolulu leads a family-friendly workout at Fort Ruger Triangle Park near Diamond Head. Children are welcome to participate or play on a mat right beside their caregiver. Come with a spouse, partner, friend, Tutu, or neighbor, or arrive on your own. Your first class is free with registration. FIT4MOM Honolulu is a wellness community for mothers that offers in-person and virtual workouts and bootcamps, Mom's Night Out gatherings, playgroups for mamas and keiki, and ohana events for the whole family.

Teams face off in DJ Trivia while pizza and local craft beers are on tap. Participation is free, and winners receive prizes.
