    The Speedway Bombers Scooter Club presents the annual Border Wars Oldenburg Ride, a group journey to Oldenburg, Indiana that meets up with the Gem City and Mighty Ohio scooter clubs. The meetup spot is Wild Child Coffee Co, previously known as Coal House Coffee, where light breakfast and coffee are available before the ride heads out. Scooters of all kinds are welcome, and the route highlights the Village of Spires along with the Pipe Creek stream crossing. The plan includes a 45 minute pause in Oldenburg for fuel, IGA deli sandwiches, light snacks, and a group photo at the German maypole. From there, the clubs ride together to the Pipe Creek stream crossing and waterfall and enjoy the rolling hills of Indiana. Riders should bring a scooter that can comfortably maintain 50 to 55 mph, since a substantial portion follows US 52, also known as Brookville Road. Expect about 5 to 6 hours on the road and approximately 144 miles broken into two sections. There are opportunities to join along US 52, with gas stations serving as convenient meeting points, and a route map is shared in the event discussion. The Speedway Bombers also maintain a Facebook group for club banter and central Indiana scooter talk.
