Sleds are not on wheels and are pushed and pulled on turf. Ski and row machines are high quality. Shoulder sandbags with handles are used for walking lunges. Round sandbags are used for the carry and can be held in a bear hug or placed on the shoulders or back. The farmers carry uses kettlebells. Chip timing provides live results and includes splits for every run and each infield segment. Perks include a race T-shirt and a finisher medal. An overall award will be presented. Morning waves accommodate long or short distances across all levels for singles and doubles. Afternoon waves offer the short course across all levels for singles and doubles. Tentative wave assignments are shared during race week, and adjustments to start times or waves can be requested.

Kick off the year with the annual Delaware Divers dive. Those heading into the water can take the plunge, and anyone not diving is welcome to watch from shore, provide surface support, and connect with others who enjoy the sport. A customary New Year sign will be on site for a 2027 photo, available to both participants and spectators. Air fills and gear assistance will be offered at the dive center beforehand with help from Tom and Brooke. Open to everyone.
