PAUL HUGHES CELEBRATES THE RAT PACK

1 Carmichael Sq, Carmel · verified Oct 4
    See details

Vocalist Paul Hughes salutes the golden age of the Rat Pack, channeling the spirit of Sinatra and Martin with buoyant swing and classic Vegas flair. Expect a cabaret setting with reserved seating by the seat at each table, and please note that purchasing a single seat does not reserve the entire table. A $25 food and beverage minimum applies per guest, and cabaret service features dinner along with dessert and drinks. A Manchester, England native, Hughes fell in love with jazz and swing at twelve after discovering the great crooners through his grandfather. He refined his style in pubs across the U.K., many of which once welcomed The Beatles, before taking his performances worldwide on major cruise lines. His repertoire spans the Great American Songbook and original material, with highlights that include My Lucky Stars, Then Came You, and I Bet You Weren’t Expecting This. He draws on the elegance and poise of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Frankie Valli, and Nat King Cole, earning praise from Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame member Byron Hill and Grammy and Emmy winning producer Bill Schnee for polished delivery and vivid storytelling. Hughes is currently recording a new album produced by Sal Oliveri at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles, with songs co written by Byron Hill and Roger Brown. The lead single, My Lucky Stars, was recorded with Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band and selected for the soundtrack of the motion picture The Thief of Falling Stars. He has performed for audiences around the world, including a private performance for David and Victoria Beckham, and continues to build an international following while staying true to timeless jazz and swing.
