The circle emphasizes deep listening, ego-free participation, mindful movement, care for instruments, substance-free connection, and community over spotlight. Attendees are asked to support the shared pulse, play at a volume that allows others to be heard, leave space so the music can breathe, follow breaks and changes, and ask before touching someone else’s instrument. Please remove rings or watches before playing hand drums, keep high-pitched instruments gentle, leave the center open for dancers, step away for phone calls or device use, receive feedback with respect, and prioritize the overall sound. Hand drums are preferred and drum kits are not used because of volume. Melodic or supportive instruments such as flutes, violins, guitars, and harmonicas are welcome.
