    The 3rd Annual Duck Derby

    Eudora Parks and Recreation Foundation will put on the 2026 Great Duck Race in Eudora, Kansas, a community event that raises funds for access to local parks and recreation. Proceeds from every duck adoption support the Kurt Von Achen Scholarship Fund, which helps eligible residents participate in programs and use facilities. Adoptions are available at multiple levels: 1 duck for $5, 6 for $25, 13 for $50, or 27 for $100. Prizes are set at $1,000 for first place, $250 for second, and $100 for third. The final finisher earns the Lucky Duck prize, a $200 credit at the Eudora Parks and Recreation Department. Duck adoptions can be made at Main Street Market during the summer or at the Parks and Recreation Department front desk, with additional locations to be announced. The exact date will be shared once scheduling is finalized, with plans to take place before the last dive in movie of the season.
