Hosted in Georgetown, Kentucky by RunWild Running Club, the 2026 RunWild Fall Classic is a fall meet that brings competitors together for spirited competition.

Nice Nachos will be at the farmer's market with nacho-style pancakes piled with toppings. The menu also includes specialty coffees, a variety of beverages, and breakfast choices such as burritos, tacos, nachos, and quesadillas. Saturday visits are expected to continue for the time being.

Josephine Sculpture Park partners with The Ashventure to offer an all-levels yoga class inside the event barn. Instructor Ashtin leads a welcoming practice with views of flowering meadows, outdoor sculptures, and nearby woodlands, enjoyed from the shade and solid surface of the barn. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or towel since the floor is concrete, as well as water. All ages are welcome, and children must be accompanied by an adult. The class is available at no cost for those who need it, with a suggested donation of $10 per class at registration to help cover teaching costs and support Josephine Sculpture Park’s Wellness in the Wild program, which strengthens community health through outdoor movement, the arts, and connection. Registration is requested for the specific dates you plan to attend.

Take a narrated rail excursion through Kentucky horse country and hear stories about the landscape, local lore, and railroading history. Two rides are offered each day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with boarding beginning before departure. Arrive early to browse a museum display, try an interactive model train, and see historic pieces on the grounds, and please note that trains leave promptly. Choose your seat in a covered open-air car right behind the locomotive or relax in First Class with air conditioning and padded seats. The trip lasts about 90 minutes and includes a stop at Young’s High Bridge for sweeping views of the Kentucky River Palisades and time for photos. Restrooms are located at the museum station, and there are none on the train or at the mid-ride stop. Due to the historic railcars, wheelchairs cannot be accommodated, though passengers using walkers or canes should be able to board and exit. For parking, turn off State Road 62 onto Beasley Road, cross the tracks, then turn left into a large lot with ample space. Ticket prices: First Class adults $20, children ages 2 to 12 $18. Open Air Car adults $20, children ages 2 to 12 $18. Cab rides are $75 for up to two riders, and cab riders must be able to board the locomotive without assistance. Tickets are recommended to be purchased in advance and are picked up at the ticket counter before boarding.

Mystery fans can meet two Kentucky authors at a special book signing hosted by The Kentucky Bookstore. Virginia Smith will share Triple Layer Treachery, a new entry in her Chocolate Shop Mysteries that blends small town charm, memorable characters, clever twists, and a light touch of humor. She has also written dozens of inspirational and contemporary novels. Debra Ison, author of the suspense novel The Confession, writes stories that explore faith, redemption, and the tough choices people face when long hidden secrets surface. The event offers opportunities to meet both authors, have books personally signed, ask questions about their writing, and celebrate Kentucky storytellers while discovering a new favorite read.

Experience a free introductory sword fighting class focused on HEMA for adults 18 and older. Participants should bring water and expect a workout as they get started with beginner-friendly training. Please use the entrance at the back by the loading docks. Completing the waiver ahead of time will help streamline check in.

The Harvest Moon Jubilee is a free family event in Georgetown that brings together a curated lineup of 50 vendors, including local artisans, small businesses, agricultural producers, and community groups. Visitors can enjoy food trucks, family activities, agriculture-focused learning opportunities, and a community plant swap. The gathering aims to offer a friendly space to shop, eat, learn, and spend time with others. A portion of proceeds will support a scholarship fund for local students pursuing studies in agriculture, trades, and small business. The event is hosted by VAS Adventures, LLC. Shane Allen Smith of Felicity, Ohio, and Jeremy Michael Justin Chandler of Breathitt County, Kentucky, join forces to present their Unofficial sound, blending classic country, grunge, metal, folk, rock, and bluegrass. They have been featured at the Country Music Association Fan Fest in 2016, 2017, and 2018, have toured with national acts, and were recent Mississippi Music Award nominees. Their debut album is available on major streaming platforms, including Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, and Pandora.
