The class is designed for couples, friends, siblings, or parent/child pairs, with each guest painting one half of a coordinating design on their own canvas so you can display them together as one matching artwork or separately. No painting experience is needed, and it’s open to guests ages 14 and up. This is a BYOB studio, so feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks. Complimentary shoes are available for children who register in advance, and families can connect with law enforcement officers in a welcoming, family friendly setting. Registration is required for participating children, and additional details are available by email. A single new pair of shoes can make a meaningful difference.

Bring the whole family for a guided, all-ages painting class where you’ll create your own version of Despicable Starry Night. The session is set up for a 16x20 canvas, and you’ll get the basic supplies like plates, towels, cups, and utensils. You’ll just need to bring your own food and drinks, and make sure to bring your own ice.

Young chess enthusiasts can meet at the Central Library in Lake Charles for friendly games and connection. Open to players ages 6 to 16, whether new to the game or already experienced. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month.
