Clear out the gear closet and help give sports equipment a second life at this community swap at Hall Park beside the Farmers Market. Donate outgrown or unused items or pick up something new to you. Please bring items early enough so others have a chance to find them rather than right at closing. All items must be in good condition. Accepted items include sports balls, bats, mitts and sports gloves, cleats and shin guards, racquets and paddles, lacrosse, field hockey and hockey sticks, rollerblades, youth golf clubs, swim goggles, and razor scooters. Items that will not be accepted include helmets, pads, ski or snowboard gear, sneakers, clothing, hunting or archery equipment, bicycles, and ice skates. Black plastic takeout containers will also be collected for recycling.

A summer-long series of free yoga classes brings LPY to The Green at 3rd Ave in Burlington. Participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and blocks if available, plus sunscreen and a small towel to place over the eyes during savasana. Take a brisk, 3-mile round trip along the Lowell Riverwalk to the Pawtucket Gatehouse with Lowell National Historical Park, blending an energizing walk with a look at a landmark of the city’s engineering heritage. Participants meet staff at the Boott Cotton Mills Museum before setting out. The walk is free and does not require advance registration. It runs in all weather, so wear appropriate layers and bring a water bottle. Accessibility note: the Pawtucket Gatehouse is not accessible, and a short set of stairs is required to enter and exit during the tour. Paid parking is available at the Joseph Downes city garage one block from the museum.

Boston Cornhole presents free weekly cornhole tournaments on The Green at 3rd Ave. All skill levels are welcome, and every participant is guaranteed four matches. Prizes go to the top two teams, and weekly winners receive a $50 gift card. Registration is available through Scoreholio, and season standings are tracked with Scoreholio Seasons. Players who earn a combined total of 10 podium finishes qualify for the Champions Singles Tournament for a chance to win a set of cornhole boards. A podium counts as a top four finish in round robin play or a top two finish in the final bracket.
