Mattie & Debbie spotlights the creative partnership of drummer and singer Sean Trischka and bluegrass guitarist and singer Stash Wyslouch, two distinctive voices from the acoustic scene who create something larger than the sum of their parts. Their debut, Satan’s Junction, slated for release in April 2026, blends close-knit harmonies and open, intimate arrangements with bluegrass picking, catchy pop sensibilities, and sing-along anthems. The pair has collaborated across bluegrass, roots, folk, and rock since 2013 in projects such as The Deadly Gentlemen, Tony Trischka’s Early Roman Kings, The Stash Band, and Corporate Punk, and they are among the select acts to have opened for Billy Strings, who has offered enthusiastic praise. Howe has taught at Sarah Lawrence College, Columbia University, and NYU, coedited the anthology In the Company of My Solitude: American Writing from the AIDS Pandemic, and has been awarded fellowships from the Bunting Institute at Radcliffe College, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation, the Academy of American Poets, and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.

This stand up paddleboard yoga class pairs mindful movement with the calm of being on the water. Sessions run 75 minutes, starting with a brief lesson on land and on the water, followed by a 65 minute yoga practice that ends in savasana. All levels are welcome. No SUP experience is required, though some prior yoga is recommended. All equipment is included, with a stand up paddleboard, paddle, anchor, and life vest provided. If you plan to bring your own gear, please reserve a BYOB spot. Patty Chen's Dumpling School hosts a hands-on dumpling making party in Cambridge, MA. Designed for ages 8 and up, this 2.5 hour session accommodates up to 16 participants and focuses on enjoying the process while learning useful techniques. Participants practice rolling and folding wrappers, properly stuffing them with different fillings, shaping a variety of dumplings, and cooking them. All skill levels are welcome, creating a relaxed setting for families, friends, and groups. For children’s groups, one adult must stay for the full session for every five children and will be ticketed. Dumpling ingredients are included, and the meeting point is The Historic Windsor Inn.

Step into Somerville’s past with drop-in chats at Milk Row Cemetery. This open-house style program invites people to stop by for informal conversations and site exploration on select days throughout the season. The experience is part of History on the Line, a series of exhibitions and programs organized by the Somerville Museum and funded by the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism’s MA250 initiative and the City of Somerville. Milk Row Cemetery is one of three participating landmarks, along with the Powder House and Prospect Hill Tower, that open to the public on select dates from May to October.
