The production examines fractured families and social order through unsettling circus-like processions, pale-clown imagery, and moments that collapse the usual boundary between performers and audience. Words take a back seat to kinetic movement, transforming the tale into a shadowy, surreal arena where vulnerability and chaos come to the forefront. Rather than ending in pomp, it closes in a hushed, aftermath-like landscape set among pianos. Screened in Russian with English subtitles.
