Come enjoy a full hour of giant bubble fun with “Mr. Vinny.” Kids will have a chance to watch, chase, and pop the bubbles as Bubble Guy’s custom-made bubble wands fill the space with big, beautiful bubbles. There will be jokes, questions, and plenty of lighthearted, surprising play, and it’s free with museum admission.

Kids Garden Day features an Enchanted Garden themed scavenger hunt. Participants visit a series of spots to collect different materials, then use them to assemble their own enchanted garden at the finish. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from Fat City Kid Food Truck. Supplies and activities are available while supplies last.

A new summer series welcomes kids to move, imagine, and connect through playful, well-structured yoga. Each class builds mindfulness, strength, flexibility, coordination, and creativity. Children practice cooperating with others, sharing space, and exploring both lively movement and quiet stillness. Week by week, the foundations of yoga grow stronger while new poses spark curiosity, channel energy, and support focus and fun. Pretzel Jungle brings energy and focus together, nurturing strength, confidence, and connection through yoga, creativity, and community. Led by Miss Lauren. Sessions are 60 minutes.

Villa Napoletana hosts a brunch featuring classic breakfast favorites, Italian specialties, and a variety of hot main dishes. Admission is $23.95 for adults and $11.95 for children 12 and under.

An immersive week of comedy improvisation designed for ages 9 to 15. Participants explore improv games, sketch work, and long form approaches to build quick thinking and spark creativity. Led by the Drama Studio Improv Faculty with special guests, the intensive concludes with an unscripted showcase for family and friends. This full day program is $525.

Monday Funday offers a different hands on activity each week to make Monday afternoons lively. Look forward to play, building, crafting, and plenty of creativity. Themes include Bird Feeders, Bee Bath, Nature Collage, Flower Prints, Tie Dye, Flapping Butterfly, and an all ages Finger Painting session. Recommended for children ages 6 and up, with all ages welcome.

Designed for little music lovers and their caregivers, this 30 minute program features singing, clapping, and stomping together to well loved children’s songs. No registration is required and walk ins are welcome. During the warmer months, when it is at least 55 degrees, dry, and not too windy, the program takes place on the lawn. Emergency cancellations will be shared on Facebook.

At Springfield Museums, astronomers from the Stars Club of Massachusetts will set up solar-safe telescopes in the quad area for viewing a partial solar eclipse. Attendees will be able to observe the Moon seemingly taking a bite out of the Sun.

At Springfield City Library, Carolyn of Magic Tree Henna offers free henna tattoos created especially for teens. Explore this timeless art form with a skilled artist. The paste is made with all natural ingredients, including organic henna powder, lemon juice, sugar, tea tree oil, and lavender oil. Designs typically last one to three weeks. For tweens and teens.

Choose a challenge card and try to build its prompt using the library’s LEGO pieces, or enjoy a free build just for fun. DUPLO bricks will also be available. Finished creations will be showcased in the Youth Room for the week. This is a drop-in activity.

Bring trading cards, a Nintendo Switch, phone, or tablet for handheld play and trading with others. Staff will supervise all trades and check current market values. Registration is required, and one signup enrolls you for all club dates.

Family Improv Jam at Unity House Players features simple theater games that spark imaginative stories, quirky characters, and lots of laughter. It is recommended for children ages 6 to 13, and parents and older siblings are welcome to participate alongside them. Admission for the general public is $10 for an individual or $15 for a family each week, and UUSGS members attend for free.

Now in its 40th year, the Rotary Club of East Longmeadow presents a Summer Concert Series at Mapleshade Elementary School, made possible with sponsorship from Cloud 9 Marketing Group. The lineup spans eight performances by A-Ray of Elvis, Union Jack, 7Roads Band, Brass Attack, The 60's Experience, Above the Treeline, and Pride Falls, with Trailer Trash featured as part of a special show paired with East Longmeadow's Laser Light Show. The concert runs during the weekly Lawn Party series, with food trucks, lawn games, and a relaxed downtown summer vibe. Admission is free and open to all ages. You’re welcome to bring your own lawn chair(s), and smoking is prohibited on The Landing during the concert series.
