Downtown Lewiston hosts a small-sided 5v5 soccer tournament featuring quick, high-energy matches on compact fields. Each side plays with five athletes at a time, typically four outfield players and a goalkeeper. Teams take part in multiple games, and the strongest squads advance toward the championship. The event also features The Keeper Cup, a dedicated goalkeeper competition in a 1v1 format where participants both shoot and defend on a full, regulation-style goal. Every goalkeeper is guaranteed five games with a possible maximum of seven, and medals are awarded to the top three finishers. Those top performers also qualify for The Keeper Cup National Championship. The Keeper Cup welcomes boys and girls across elite, competitive, and developmental levels and is open to goalkeepers born from 2018 through 2007. Brackets may combine adjacent birth years and similar ability levels to create balanced play. As a non-sanctioned event, it accepts participants from all states. Registration is organized by birth year and age group and uses a coach account system, including for parents registering a child. The entry fee is 128 dollars per goalkeeper, and a VIP multi-event discount of 50 dollars per event is available for those pairing the Keeper Cup with the 5v5 tournament. Keepers are expected to bring their own ball, and ball size follows what is used during the regular season unless playing up an age group. Fields use real goals that may match 7v7, 9v9, or 11v11 dimensions depending on the facility, and Keeper Cup fields are approximately 12 yards by 22 yards with minor variation by venue. Player waivers are completed through Exposure, and proof of age such as a player card, birth certificate, team roster, passport, or school ID is required at check-in. Bracket formats vary based on the number of registered goalkeepers to ensure meaningful competition. With three participants, everyone meets three times for six games per player. With four, each faces the others twice and final standings are set by points. With five, pool play seeds a final between the top two while third place is decided following a playoff between fourth and fifth. With six or seven, round-robin play determines standings and awards go to the top three.

The second annual charity golf scramble presented by Maine Gutter Works brings golfers together at Apple Valley Golf Course to support Waymakers Women’s Recovery Center. Teams of four play 18 holes for a $400 entry fee, with a limited number of carts available to rent separately for $20 per person. Breakfast and lunch are included, and a beverage cart will be on the course. Participants can compete for prizes while taking part in on-course challenges such as longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin, a putting contest, and a chance to outplay the pro on a designated hole. Extras like mulligans and a hand toss option add to the fun, and fundraising continues with a 50/50 raffle, additional raffle prizes, and a silent auction. Now in its tenth year, the Pain To Power suicide awareness ride gathers participants at L-A Harley to champion awareness and support. This lesson day offers private instruction focused on introducing your horse to liberty work, bridleless riding, or basic trick training. Explore the pottery wheel in a two-step class focused on creating and finishing your own ceramic pieces. The first session is all about making, with three 1-1/4 lb clay balls provided so you can craft up to three items such as a cup, bowl, or vase. Get as much or as little guidance as you want while you work, then your pieces will be fired. About 2 to 3 weeks later, return to glaze your creations. They will be fired a second time, and you will come back again to pick them up. You must complete glazing and pickup within 30 days, as pieces not collected will be discarded due to limited storage. Additional items beyond the first three are $10 each to cover glazing and firing. Short fingernails work best. Dress for a mess and bring an old towel or rag for wiping clay from your hands.
