The Runaway Maine Music Fest returns with two days of live music, food trucks, and a bustling vendor village. Free onsite parking is available. This is a BYOB event, and tailgating and socializing are part of the experience in the parking lot and food truck area. Coolers brought into the venue require a $10 cash fee per cooler and will be checked to ensure there is no glass. Glass bottles, containers, and cups are not allowed anywhere on the property, including the parking lot. All ages are welcome, with children 12 and under admitted free. Anyone under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The festival takes place rain or shine. Pets are not permitted, except for ADA service animals. All ticket sales are final, and tickets are non transferable and non refundable. The lineup features Bryan Martin, Cole Barnhill, Katie Noel, The Real Young Swagg, Sister Hazel, Marcy Playground, Sponge, and Toby McAllister & The Sierra Sounds, along with additional supporting acts.

This Movement at the Museum session is beginner friendly and also engaging for those with some experience. Amanda from Spin Art Hoops leads the class with clear instruction and adult-size hoops designed to make learning easier. Participants practice on-body and off-body skills, using arms, legs, and the core to keep the hoop in motion while building coordination and endurance. Hoops are provided to use during class, with options available for purchase. No prior dance or hoop background is needed. Expect an upbeat session that can burn around 420 calories in an hour.

Bring Your Own Project creates an easygoing space to work on whatever you are currently making while connecting with fellow creatives. Sassy Strides Equestrian hosts a hunter and jumper festival featuring USHJA Outreach and NHHJA medal classes, plus hunter derbies and more. The schedule offers options for riders of all ages and abilities, from lead line up to 1.30m. Prize money is offered. A full prize list is available. At Ricker Hill Orchards, this book-filled outing features signings with more than 20 romance authors. Browse selections from a few book-focused vendors, visit the mobile romance bookstore trailer and enjoy coffee and apple cider donuts. There is also plenty of orchard to explore between activities.

A twister barrels through Munchkin Land and a whodunit erupts as the Wicked Witch schemes, the Scarecrow acts oddly, and the Cowardly Lion seems to be holding back. This comedic murder mystery dinner show playfully parodies The Wizard of Oz with clues, surprises, and plenty of laughter as someone, somewhere over the rainbow, turns up dead. Costumes inspired by Oz are encouraged. Admission is $25 per person and includes light appetizers. Presented at Hoppers at Apple Valley Golf Course, the Yellow Brick Road leads to giggles, red herrings, and a case waiting to be cracked.

The 10th Annual Cherie Sargent Scholarship Golf Tournament features a scramble format with a shotgun start at Turner Highlands Golf Course. The entry fee is $85 per player and covers green fees, a golf cart, and a buffet lunch.

Explore pottery in a two-step class. In step one, you will shape your pieces using three 1-1/4 lb clay balls to create up to three items such as a cup, bowl, or vase. Get as much or as little help at the wheel as you prefer, then your work is fired. Return about two to three weeks later for step two to glaze your pieces. They will be fired again, and you will come back to pick them up. If you choose to make more than three items, each additional piece is $10 to cover glazing and firing. Short fingernails work best. Dress for a mess and bring an old towel or rag to wipe clay from your hands. You have up to 30 days to glaze and pick up your work, after which unclaimed pieces may be discarded due to limited storage. Class size is limited to five people, and the fee is $59. Past classes have sold out quickly, often two to three weeks ahead.

BMW, short for Breau Miller West, brings a live performance to the Franco Center, featuring local musicians Denny Breau, Mark Miller, and Arlo West.
