Arriving early offers time to explore nearby shops, pick up a carryout meal, and enjoy a PATIO Zone beverage before the music begins. Select dates feature extra pre-concert activities, including Ms. Megan’s Music Makers as a free drop-in for families and children, a Vinyl Day with the Ferndale Library sharing resources such as online card sign up and its circulating vinyl collection, a Book Day with Story Time for ages 1 to 6 followed by a community Book Swap hosted by Love & Other Books, and a Doggie Day with the Poodle & Co. team plus a guided walk to Maestro’s Dog Haus led by K9 Turbo. There is also a casual Drop-In Jam Session hosted by Pursell Lutherie. The lineup spans many styles, with McKayla Mae Prew bringing country, Urban Muse offering Motor City blues jazz, Detroit Celtic Ramblers adding Celtic energy, Raedy Lex paired with a vinyl swap for a global EDM and vinyl vibe, Libby DeCamp Quartet exploring alternative bluegrass, The Hi-Views delivering swing rockabilly, ChromaSynthesis leaning into jazz fusion, The Tread Lightlies serving rock pop, and The Volcanos channeling classic 60s surf. After each performance, The Corner Bar and Detroit Axe host a friendly meet up with the performers and music bingo, and nearby businesses provide plenty of ways to keep the evening going. Children take part in sound work with singing bowls and shared healing activities, and learn simple ways to reset the nervous system. Participants gain everyday strategies for stress relief, grounding, confidence, mindfulness, self awareness, and resilient coping. Younger children may attend with a parent or trusted adult, and older children can participate independently. The series includes five sessions across the summer. Led by Donna Lakes, founder of the Ascension School of Healing Arts, who brings more than 25 years in the healing arts working with sensitive children, teens, and adults to cultivate grounding, mindfulness, self regulation, and strong energetic boundaries.     Comerica Park sets the scene for a Ferris State spirit day as the Detroit Tigers take on the Chicago White Sox. The Ferris State Alumni Association offers a $45 FSU Spirit Ticket package that includes a game ticket, entry to the Blue Moon Bases Loaded Bar, and an exclusive co-branded Detroit Tigers and Ferris State hooded tee. Seating for this package is in and around section 218, and a portion of each purchase supports the Alumni Legacy Scholarship. Details about picking up the hooded tee will be emailed about one week before the game. Apparel distribution is coordinated by the Tigers, and the Alumni Association does not have shirts on hand. Package tickets must be purchased through the Ferris State Alumni registration page and are delivered electronically. An email from the Alumni Association with instructions for retrieving your ticket will arrive approximately one week prior, so please ensure your email address is correct when registering. To sit together, purchasing all tickets in one order is recommended. If separate orders are needed, assistance is available from the Alumni Association at 231-591-2345. Quantities are limited. Wearing Ferris State gear is encouraged to show Bulldog pride.
