This summer event features Rally and Obedience trials, with two rally trials held back to back on Friday and obedience on Saturday and Sunday. Lunches are planned by the hospitality team and available to exhibitors for a small donation, and a fun photo opportunity will be offered. In Okemos, author Modie Golnick presents an interactive storytime featuring a reading of her picture book, Uncle John Comes Over for Dinner, with props, music, and movement woven into the experience. The story uses bright visuals and rhythmic, easy-to-follow text as Uncle John sits down to eat and repeatedly ends up with food tangled in his beard, inviting the playful question of how he will get it all out. Modestina (Modie) Golnick holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Central Michigan University and a BS in Early Childhood Education from Rochester College. She has performed professionally and taught voice, theater, preschool, and music, with a focus on nurturing early literacy through music. She lives in Michigan, where she teaches early childhood music and homeschools her daughters.

Take a guided tour of the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum with a volunteer docent or a staff member. The tour typically lasts about 45 minutes. Participation is included with general admission. Saturday Night Thunder Club Race follows a straightforward schedule with practice first, then a sign in window, followed by racing. On select dates, a Try a Ride option is included alongside practice before sign ins and the start of racing.

Whitmore Lake gathers for Trojans Night Out with the Lansing Lugnuts, a summer baseball outing for students, families, staff, alumni, and neighbors to connect and show Trojan pride. Premium Box Seats are $13.99, and an optional $11 food voucher covers a hot dog or hamburger, chips, and a 16 oz soda. Every ticket purchased through the group is entered into the nightly group raffle. The game is also Harry Potter Night, featuring a bobblehead giveaway for the first 1,000 fans and fireworks after the game. Expect a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere focused on making memories and celebrating the Whitmore Lake community.

Wyn Farm is hosting a schooling show day with entries available from June 1, 2026 until July 25, 2026. The show runs from morning through evening at Wyn Farm.

The menu includes sloppy joes, chips, baked beans, and dessert. Participants prep the food, spend some time with simple games while it cooks, then serve the meal together. It provides an opportunity for students and families to practice service, compassion, and community involvement through teamwork.

Capital City Market Kids Days return to Jackson Field this summer. After each Kids Day game featuring the Lansing Lugnuts, fans can make their way across the street to Capital City Market for an Extra Inning of fun. The gathering takes place after the game, and the start and end time may change depending on the pace of the game. Valid ticket holders can receive free ice cream. REACH summer art program offers an eight-week creative journey where youth can explore artistic skills and connect with others through hands-on projects.
