Free events in Midland, MI

Great Lakes Bay Animal Society and Saginaw County Parks come together at the Steven A. Kirshenbaum Memorial Bark Park for a friendly gathering where people and their dogs can enjoy the park. The meetup offers time to socialize and play, along with chances to win door prizes for four-legged friends. Admission is free, and the setting is Imerman Memorial Park.

This free series spotlights Midland’s poetry community with featured readings by Donny Winter, Robert Fanning, and Carol Sandford, plus an open mic session. Those who attend every installment will be entered into a drawing for a poetry themed gift basket. No registration is required, and organizers appreciate an RSVP for planning purposes.

Experience acoustic favorites at Imerman Memorial Park, Pavilion 2 with the Jolly Hammers and Strings. Enjoy the sounds of dulcimer, autoharp, banjo, bass fiddle, guitar, harmonica, mandolin, and other traditional instruments. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for comfortable seating. The concert is free to attend, and a vehicle entry fee for out-of-county residents is in effect at the park.

This free concert in the Dock Door Concert Series features Sugar Beats Blues for a summer evening of live music. Some attendees may recognize Curtis from Saturday breakfasts, where he plays a variety of piano tunes. Bring chairs and a few friends and enjoy the performance.
