Celebrate seasonal traditions as the Homestead Farm area fills with demonstrations and programs highlighting 19th century autumn life. See crop harvesting, blacksmithing, cider making, and woodworking, enjoy traditional music, and find activities and crafts for children, with more to discover. Food concessions will be available. Open to all ages, with those under 18 accompanied by an adult. Admission is free for CNC members and for children under 18, and non-member adults are $7.

Browse and buy handmade goods from local makers, including hair bows for girls, car fresheners, knit and crochet pieces, porch signs, jewelry, door hangers, salt and sugar scrubs, scrubbies, fall themed creations, custom fishing poles, baked treats, charcuterie boards, and more. Free face painting is available at the Village Market in Sanford. There is plenty to see around the market, and the face painting is offered at no charge thanks to the Village Market’s sponsorship.

Enjoy a family friendly guided cruise on the Saginaw River with live narration that shares local history, highlights well known landmarks including the lighthouse, and offers chances to spot wildlife. This two hour outing balances light commentary with plenty of time to relax and take in the views with friends, families, or groups. Onboard refreshments include light snacks, soft drinks, and adult beverages from the Wake View Bar, with payment by cash or card. Walk up ticket purchases are welcome, and reserving ahead can make check in quicker. Private outings for groups of 50 or more can be arranged on other days. Tickets are $28 for adults, $25 for seniors, and $15 for children.

This monthly evening centers on burgers and tacos and is open to everyone.

The second annual Soup Cookoff features homemade soups in a friendly competition with public tasting after the judging concludes. Contestants should deliver entries to the rec hall using the south or east entrance, as the west door will be locked to minimize traffic near the kitchen. Each entry must include at least 4 quarts, such as a large crockpot or equivalent, and should arrive warm and ready to serve. Power strips will be available for crockpots or roasters. All ingredients must be safe for public consumption and listed on a registration card, available at the office, to be submitted at the registration table upon arrival. Judging is conducted anonymously by a panel of judges, with categories for Chili and Wild Card covering any other variety.

The fourth annual Nouvel: A Night to Shine Gala offers an elegant evening of dinner, dancing, and celebration, highlighting what makes Nouvel special while raising funds for the school. Hosted at Horizons Conference Center, the event invites cocktail attire, and a bit of sparkle is welcomed. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and reunions are encouraged.

Cozy Cats Cafe hosts a friendly, family focused Dungeons & Dragons one shot that welcomes both experienced adventurers and brand new players. Expect a relaxed night of collaborative storytelling where teens and adults can connect, share laughs, and put screens aside. Admission is $13, with drinks, snacks, and plenty of table time to create lasting memories. Because it is a single session, there is no long term commitment, just an easy way to play and have fun. Keep an eye out for cats padding through the scene like furry NPCs, adding extra charm to the adventure.

Set out on a six-night journey through Montreal and Quebec City, where the rich history, lively culture, and European flair of French Canada take center stage. The itinerary features guided tours of Montreal and Old Montreal as well as Quebec City and Old Quebec. Explore the Montreal Underground, step inside the Notre Dame Basilica, and visit St. Joseph’s Oratory and the Ste. Anne de Beaupre Shrine. The experience also includes the Albert Gilles Copper Art Museum and the natural beauty of Montmorency Falls. The package provides six nights of lodging, six breakfasts, and four dinners, along with a souvenir gift. Enjoy oval racing with a clear path from qualifying to the final. The event features three qualifying rounds followed by one main round. Entry is priced per class, with $25 for the first class and $10 for each additional class.

Players gather for a weekly One Piece trading card game event. The entry cost is $5, and everyone who signs up receives a One Piece booster pack. Additional promotional prize packs will be distributed, with quantities and recipients based on standings and overall attendance.

Experience a monthly yoga class at CNC that attunes movement to the season. It begins with a brief journaling prompt, then transitions into gentle poses and a mindful flow paced to the time of year. Please bring a yoga mat and a journal. Open to all experience levels, including beginners. Ages 15 and up, with an adult for participants under 18. Participants will meet at the Visitor Center. Cost is $10, or $8 for CNC members.

Weekly Heroclix play features a rotating format, offering a different setup each time. The standard entry fee is $5, with alternate pricing when the event is sealed, a battle royale, or another special format. Prizes scale with attendance, granting one five figure booster for every four players, rounded up, along with additional rewards from the promos box. Prize selection proceeds in order of final standings.
