    Witches Ball

St. Louis · Fubar Lounge, 13210 Tesson Ferry Rd.

Fubar Saint Louis presents a Halloween Witches Ball packed with metalcore and deathcore. Costumes are encouraged, and the night features themed cocktails. Fervence brings newly honed material including Zenith, Ascension, and Oculum, a track that channels the raw grit of Deftones’ self-titled era while keeping a subtle cinematic touch. The band began in Reno in 2019 under guitarist Trent Odneal and is now based in Austin. Enthronement from Houston adds a dark, divine feminine presence to the lineup. The five close-knit members deliver high-energy sets with crushing riffs and lyrics that explore the occult, revenge, healing, and moving on, and they have appeared alongside I Set My Friends On Fire, BrokeNCYDE, Lilith’s Demise, and other rising metal acts. Vidvesha continues its run supporting touring bands and brings a debut self-titled single. Frowned Upon joins as a newer metalcore outfit. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.

    Community Connection Potluck

St Louis · Thomas Dunn Learning Center, 3113 Gasconade St

    Free

A monthly, no-cost potluck invites neighbors to share a meal, meet new people, and deepen the connections that help communities thrive. Each gathering begins around the table, then shifts into an open conversation about the opportunities, challenges, and needs showing up in the neighborhood. Together, participants look for practical ways to support one another, exchange skills and resources, and imagine collective efforts, including linking work already underway in different parts of St. Louis so those efforts can reinforce each other. Topics are shaped by whoever is present and may range from food sovereignty and mutual aid to education, creative projects, housing, environmental concerns, neighborhood events, and other aspects of local well-being. The emphasis is on making room for meaningful connection, collaboration, and shared learning rather than formal planning, with attention to surfacing and weaving together the knowledge and experience that already exist. This shared meal is one thread in a broader web of community-building across Dutchtown and beyond. Meeting regularly helps build trust and solidarity that make it easier to navigate challenges and move toward more sustainable and nourishing ways of living together. The work grows through relationships rather than solutions imposed from above. Everyone has something to contribute. Bringing a dish is welcome, and your presence matters most.
