This 5K run and walk at Fair Park directs all proceeds to purchasing Bibles and devotional books, which will be distributed free of charge to people who do not have one.

During summer and fall, Fire Station Park hosts a market featuring locally grown produce, fresh baked treats, live plants, and handmade goods from area makers. Visitors can watch cooking and gardening demonstrations, learn new skills during how-to sessions, and find activities created for kids. Music is part of the experience too, with Saturday Morning Jams at the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Fire Station Park.

Motorcyclists gather for the 1st Annual Puppy Poker Run, a scenic 64-mile ride through Union County and Tupelo that begins and ends at BNA Tennis & Pickleball Park. The route and stop locations are set, with riders picking up a card at each stamp station along the way and returning to the finish where prizes are awarded for the best and worst poker hands. Planned stops include PetSmart in Saltillo and Tupelo and Tractor Supply in New Albany, along with additional locations on the course. All types of bikes are welcome, from Harley and Honda to Indian, Gold Wing, Slingshot, Can-Am, and more. Every mile supports the future of Union County Animal Shelter & Rescue.

Step away from screens and explore pioneer era know how with the Tombigbee Pioneers living history group at the Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center. Try basket weaving, spinning wool, making old fashioned dolls, woodworking, early American musical instruments, doily tatting, and other traditional skills. This hands on experience invites participants to slow down, make something tangible, and reconnect with everyday practices from the past without relying on technology.

Relax beneath the night sky along the Natchez Trace at an outdoor movie series that captures the easy pace of a Mississippi evening. Bring a blanket and choose a comfortable spot on the grass surrounded by Southern pines. Snacks are welcome. A short ranger program, about 15 to 20 minutes, leads into the film. The screening takes place on the lawn outside the Natchez Trace Parkway Visitor Center. Admission is free. Please follow Leave No Trace principles and pack out everything you bring.
