Skyfoot brings an evening of improvisation-rich jam rock to Lewis and Clark Brewing Co., delivering two full sets built on original songs that ebb and flow with dynamic energy. The Boston-based quartet earned Best in State at the 2019 New England Music Awards and has released four studio albums, including 2020’s Astronomy Man. Tyler Arnott on guitar blends melodic lines with banjo-style chord work and expressive solos. Eric McEwen on keyboards adds a percussive touch on piano and organ. James Taylor on bass anchors the low end with steady, flexible funk, and Aaron Morey on drums plays with a deft, dynamic approach rooted in jam-band traditions. Fans of Phish and the Grateful Dead will recognize a kindred spirit in the sound. This appearance comes during the group’s fourth Montana tour since 2012. Eric McEwen is a Helena native.

Helena’s Alive At Five brings live music to Lewis & Clark Tap Room with Too Slim & the Taildraggers, with Cohesion Dance Project featured as the nonprofit partner. Guitarist Tim “Too Slim” Langford leads the band in a blues rock style influenced by artists ranging from Lightnin’ Hopkins and Freddy King to Duane Allman, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Robin Trower. Their sound continues to evolve and avoids easy labels.
