Expect slow, yoga-inspired stretches and movements with clear guidance on what to focus on now and what to set aside, so you can continue practicing yoga to support mobility, nervous system regulation, and healing. Compassion Loves Action Outreach hosts the third annual back to school drive focused on helping students begin the new year prepared. Creative Greensboro, in partnership with Little Independent Theatre, Scrapmettle, and Shared Radiance Performing Arts presents Sonnet Fest, a free performance event featuring creative interpretations of Shakespeare’s sonnets 51 through 103. The action takes place along the west side of the Downtown Greenway, where multiple groups bring the sonnets to life at public art installations, and the audience rotates between performances to experience the full set over the festival run. Community resource providers will also be on site to share information. Donations of school and cookout supplies are being accepted, including backpacks, writing tools, paper and notebooks, folders and binders, and glue. Made possible through collaboration with Sistrunk Learning Together Community Corner and friends across the 336 Triad, the Out of School Cookout focuses on uplifting families and helping students start the school year prepared.
