    Lilyisthatyou

Philadelphia · First Unitarian Church , 2125 Chestnut St

First Unitarian Church of Philadelphia hosts a bill featuring Toronto artist Lilyisthatyou alongside Philadelphia-area musician James the Seventh. Lilyisthatyou crafts bold, shape-shifting pop at the crossroads of dark pop, alt rock, and electronic experimentation. Her songs fuse candid, sensual storytelling with a sly, irreverent bite, transforming openness into strength. With a catalog that has drawn hundreds of millions of streams and a dedicated community behind it, her rise has grown from viral breakthroughs to sold out headlining dates, guided by instinct, steady work, and a clear creative vision. Through projects like LILITH and more on the way, she keeps stretching both sound and visuals, building a world that feels chaotic yet deliberate. As new music and a global run come into focus, she stands out as a defining voice in the next wave of pop. James the Seventh is a self-taught singer, songwriter, and producer from the Philadelphia area. After pursuing pre-professional ballet full time, a serious injury in 2020 led to surgery and a long recovery that ended that path. Unable to walk for a year, she received a guitar from her father, the sixth James in the family, which sparked her journey into writing and performing her own material. Since entering the scene in 2021, her sound has grown from dream pop into alternative rock, blending layered vocals and harmonies with introspective lyrics that examine mental health, angst, and nostalgia.

    Jukebox the Ghost

Philadelphia · Union Transfer, 1026 Spring Garden St

Jukebox the Ghost brings its HalloQueen production, a musical costume tribute that turns their admiration for Queen into a compact festival experience. The show features two distinct sets. First comes a full run of the band’s own songs, followed by a brief intermission that includes a costume contest. Then the trio returns in Queen-inspired attire to perform a second set of Queen’s greatest hits with big-stage energy. Ben Thornewill channels Freddie Mercury while adding the touch of a classically trained pianist. Tommy Siegel takes on both the John Deacon and Brian May roles, delivering towering leads alongside playful guitar passages. Jesse Kristin drives the Roger Taylor parts and steps forward to lead the crowd in a spirited version of Fat Bottomed Girls. It is not a strict cover show, rather Jukebox the Ghost putting its own spin on the classics. Since 2015, HalloQueen has grown into an annual traveling tradition that frequently sells out, with fans arriving from around the world in handmade outfits inspired by the band’s catalog and inside jokes. The piano rock trio formed in 2006 and has played more than 1,000 shows worldwide, headlining their own tours and opening for Ingrid Michaelson, Ben Folds, Guster, Motion City Soundtrack, A Great Big World and Jack’s Mannequin. They have appeared at festivals including Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, Bonnaroo and Bottlerock, and on television programs such as The Late Show with David Letterman and Conan. This event is open to all ages. There is a strict ticket limit, and orders that exceed the limit may be canceled without notice. Mischief Night

Philadelphia · The Dolphin Tavern, 1539 S Broad St

The Dolphin sets the stage for a Mischief Night steeped in acid-soaked energy, headlined by a back to back session from Lauren Flax and Mike Servito, with The Dolphin’s resident vampire G I N A guiding the night. Costumes are strongly encouraged. A Detroit native and longtime Brooklyn resident, Lauren Flax has been immersed in music since childhood, first on drums, then guitar and bass. She came up through Detroit’s underground as a resident at the Motor Lounge alongside Mike Servito and others, appeared on the Motor stage at the inaugural Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2000, and evolved from early jungle roots into techno, house, and electro. After sharpening her production chops in Chicago, she moved to Manhattan and released an early remix for Le Tigre. Later highlights include Dance Trax Vol. 16 on DJ Haus’s label, a sold-out EP on The Bunker New York, and a creative turn with 2MR following her remix of Pale Blue’s Breathe, which inspired a six track project blending ambient textures with acid house. Since 2019, she has toured the United States and Europe with live analog sets. Mike Servito brings a deeply honed approach shaped by years in Detroit, absorbing influences from the Electrifying Mojo and the Wizard, learning from figures like Mike Huckaby and Claude Young, and cementing his presence within the city’s circuit before relocating to New York. As a core resident of The Bunker, he has taken a jacking sound that fuses house, acid, and techno to dance floors around the world. A pivotal turning point came with his No Way Back after-party set during Movement weekend, recorded with The Bunker New York and Interdimensional Transmissions, which Resident Advisor named its top online mix of the year. He has since appeared at venues such as Panorama Bar in Berlin, XOYO in London, and Contact in Tokyo, along with major festivals including Movement.
