    See details

Suzy Bogguss takes the stage with a career that blossomed during the 1990s country surge, selling 4 million albums and delivering radio favorites like Outbound Plane, Someday Soon, Letting Go, Drive South, and Hey Cinderella. Her artistry reaches far beyond country, spanning a duet album with Chet Atkins, a modern swing collaboration with Ray Benson of Asleep at the Wheel, and a 2007 set of originals that climbed to number 4 on the jazz charts. Her folk roots shine in appearances on A Prairie Home Companion, a Grammy earned for Beautiful Dreamer: The Songs of Stephen Foster, and the American Folk Songbook album and companion book. The journey continues with Lucky, a collection of Merle Haggard songs reimagined through her clear, expressive voice, and Prayin’ For Sunshine, an Americana release written entirely by Bogguss. She tours worldwide, both solo and alongside Terri Clark and Pam Tillis as Chicks With Hits, and with Kathy Mattea on their Together At Last tour. This performance highlights a storyteller whose music flows easily among country, folk, swing, and jazz influences.

THE LAST WALTZ Celebration featuring The THE BAND Band & Special Guests

Levoy Theatre, 130 N High St, Millville · verified Sep 6
    See details

At The Levoy Theatre, The THE BAND Band joins special guests for a concert honoring the 50th anniversary of The Last Waltz. The program reflects on The Band’s Thanksgiving farewell at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom, where they shared the stage with artists including Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Neil Young, and Ronnie Hawkins, later chronicled in Martin Scorsese’s film The Last Waltz. Co-founder Gary Solomon was in the audience for that historic night and lends that perspective to this tribute. The performance opens with favorites from The Band, followed by a rotating lineup interpreting songs associated with the original guest stars, and features fiddler Larry Packer, who performed with The Band at The Last Waltz. The Vaudeville Bar will be open and serving. Premium seating is available, and tickets are on sale.
