Downtown Growers’ Market marks its 30th year, celebrating decades as a tradition, a springboard for small farms and small businesses, and a gathering place for the community. Browse New Mexico grown produce such as heirloom tomatoes and roasted chiles, discover unique handcrafted art and wellness goods from local makers, and enjoy hot prepared foods and snacks under the trees. Live music and other entertainment add to the experience. A live local band is set to perform, and a yoga session is offered with donations appreciated. An information booth is available for assistance, and SNAP benefits are doubled on local food when processed there. ADA parking is available. Please honor parking meters and lot fees and avoid blocking residential areas or business access. Leashed pets are welcome, and attendees should clean up after their animals.

Zion Ministries Homeless Outreach presents the sixth annual ride for the homeless paired with a show and shine. The event includes live music and food, a 50/50 raffle, a door prize, and more. Riders of all kinds are welcome, from mini bikes to big bikes. To be eligible for a prize, entry is $30.

Women of Wisdom offers a welcoming gathering in the CommUnity Room focused on conversation, learning, and creative connection. Board member Andrea Williams shares her experience with breath work and guides simple breathing practices. Coffee and tea are provided. Participants are welcome to bring snacks and, if they wish, a love offering or donation. Help with setup, making coffee, and cleanup is appreciated. Everyone is welcome, whether or not they are part of Unity Spiritual Center. Entry is available through the south door by the back parking area or the southeast ADA entrance. Part of the Hispanic Genealogical Research Center of New Mexico Speaker Series, this program features historian and researcher Yvette Cohn Stoor, a recipient of an American Folklife Center Community Collections Grant. She will share her work documenting distinctive New Mexican traditions to create a lasting record of how communities honor their past and celebrate their present, highlighted by her Library of Congress American Folklife Center documentary Steps of Our Ancestors. The film follows community historians and descendants in rural New Mexico as they preserve and revive centuries old ritual dances, including Danza de Los Matachines, Los Comanchitos, and Los Comanches, showing how faith, history, and identity shape village life while safeguarding traditions at risk of being forgotten. Stoor will also offer tips on documentation and research. She serves on various genealogical society boards, including La Merced de Canon de Carnue. The event takes place at the NHCC in the Dominici Education Building, Rooms 122 to 124. This is a free community event with no advance registration required.

Part of the 35th Annual Music Under the Stars Saturdays series devoted to jazz and blues, the fourth edition of Enchantment Blues & Guitars centers on a salute to the Three Kings of blues guitar... Albert King, B.B. King, and Freddy King. Curated by New Mexico songwriter, guitarist, and performer Chris Dracup, the program brings together leading blues talent from across the state. Featured artists include Dracup, Levi Platero, Rudy “Boy” Jaramillo, Stanlee Kee, Armando Ortega, and Tiho Dmitrov, with Brant Leeper on B3 organ and piano, Jose Romero on bass, Alex Moralez on drums, Brad Dubbs on trumpet, Lee Taylor on alto saxophone, Sam Nesbitt on baritone saxophone, and Murray Kelly on rhythm guitar. Previous editions have created a space for top local musicians to collaborate on shared performances. Dracup, inducted into the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame in 2024, has performed for more than four decades as a solo artist and as guitarist and vocalist with New Mexico groups including The Muttz, The Rattlecats, and Soul Kitchen. His playing spans bottleneck slide rooted in southern delta traditions and electric blues shaped by classic Texas and Chicago sounds, and his recent project, Chris Dracup: Funk of the West, blends American funk and blues with Afro pop percussion crafted for the dance floor.

As part of Summer Music Saturdays, Canteen Brewhouse presents a patio performance by Mike Mares of The NOMS. The set blends the band’s own songs with well-known covers, touching on artists such as James Taylor and Blink-182, all suited to a relaxed summer atmosphere.

Hosted by New Mexico Child First Network, this annual back to school celebration and community care fair at Explora welcomes foster and adoptive families for a warm, resource-filled gathering. The riding area spans roughly 5,000 to 9,000 feet in elevation. Typical conditions bring warm days in the 80s and cool nights in the 50s... a time that falls near the end of monsoon season and before hunting season begins.
