    MRC Reno River Auxiliary Float

    The annual MRC River Auxiliary features a float down the Truckee River with drinks along the way. Participants plan to leave from Mayberry Park and finish at Wingfield, which has reopened, with about two and a half hours on the water. An after-party follows at Old Bridge Pub. To make shuttles easier, coordinate carpools and leave one car at Wingfield for every two to three cars at Mayberry. There is also an MRC Park Cleanup beforehand for those who want to take part.

    Summer Concert Series

    The series offers ten Saturdays of free, live performances on the BAC outdoor festival stage. The Levitt AMP Carson City Music Series, presented by Brewery Arts Center, brings fresh energy to a former arts hub and the surrounding historic downtown of Nevada’s capital. Since 2016, free Levitt AMP concerts have helped turn an overlooked street corridor into a lively cultural gathering place for people of all ages and backgrounds. Carson City has seen an arts revival with painted crosswalks, new murals, and a surge in community participation. The 2026 to 2028 series continues this momentum, strengthening community connections and local pride throughout the season and beyond. Support is provided by the Levitt Family Foundation, Connections Central, Kilpatrick Bullentini, Max Casino and Federal Hotel, Nashville Social Club, and Visit Carson City. Presented by Brewery Arts Center, a nonprofit dedicated to enriching quality of life by cultivating arts and culture for all.

    A free, monthly poetry open mic at the BAC Exhibition Hall features rotating hosts from Spoken Views. Poets may sign up at the event and have 3 to 5 minutes to share their work. Original pieces are welcome, as are cover poems with proper credit, and there is space for many voices. The Spoken Views Collective works to provide platforms and safe spaces for spoken word expression while building a community of spoken word artists and poets. With support from many local businesses, the collective has organized events and open mic nights that share the spoken word experience and have helped establish it as a leading hub in Northern Nevada.
