At The Center at Mariandale, spiritual mentors Shawn Stevens and Shannon Chada lead a three-day retreat devoted to Indigenous Timekeepers and the 13 Moons of Turtle Island. Participants step into a circle of teachings and ceremony that illuminates each moon’s guidance for walking in harmony with the Earth. Through Indigenous teachings and storytelling, the experience encourages reconnection with natural rhythms, honoring of the seasons, and practical ways to bring gratitude and ceremony into everyday life. Month by month, the 13 Moons become a pathway to balance, healing, ancestral connection, and a deeper sense of belonging. The flow includes a welcome circle and stories on the first evening, a full day of wisdom sharing with lecture and storytelling on the second day, and a closing fire circle with time for questions on the final morning. The program welcomes everyone and honors all diversities. Shawn Stevens, an enrolled member of the Stockbridge Munsee Band of Mohicans, is a spiritualist, musician, artist, historian, and storyteller who shares his culture and history across the eastern and midwestern regions of North America. A Mohican storyteller, drummer, singer, flute player, and ordained minister, he is also a certified facilitator for White Bison’s Mending Broken Hearts program. His work supports cultural preservation and addresses the impacts of ancestral trauma, fostering understanding, healing, and unity. Shannon Chada, known as Good Singing Woman, is a spiritual mentor and holistic teacher who supports empowerment, spiritual growth, and self-care healing. With more than 27 years as an Ordained Holistic Minister Practitioner, she offers spiritual education, Reiki training, aromatherapy, cranial sacral therapy, yoga, wedding officiant services, and teachings on Indigenous peacemaking and cultural reclamation. Rooted in her Stockbridge-Munsee Mohican upbringing, she is also an artist, Native dancer, and singer-songwriter who helps build bridges between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities while promoting peacemaking, cultural reclamation, and care for the environment. A companion retreat, Indigenous Wisdom: Empowering Your Spiritual Path, focuses on the four sacred hills of life, the 7 Elder Teachings, and reclaiming a spiritual compass. Each retreat stands on its own while also complementing the other for a deeper connection to Indigenous knowledge and wisdom.

Polish Night returns to the Polish United Club with an evening centered on Polish music, food, drinks, and community spirit. Expect live Polish entertainment and a welcoming vibe that celebrates friends and Polish heritage. Traditional favorites will be available for purchase, including pierogi, kielbasa, and zapkianki. Start with a lump of clay and shape it into a personal creation, then pick a glaze color from the studio’s options for one piece. All materials and firing are included, and each participant keeps one finished work. Everyone has their own wheel, and registration is per person. Closed beverages are welcome during class. Now in its 13th year, the "I Know You Got Soul" Car Show welcomes classic, modified, and drag race cars to Brush Park. The day features barbecue and fried fish, Kool-Aid, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, trophies, and judging, all set to a soundtrack of soul favorites from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Entry is $20 per car and $5 per bike, and walk-in spectators are admitted at no charge.

Guided by SSPM staff, this walking experience traces the Hudson River shoreline and the perimeter of Sing Sing Correctional Facility, exploring how art, industry, and incarceration have shaped the region. Within a compact area, participants consider the legacy of the Hudson River School and a once-busy port alongside the rise of a fortified maximum security prison. Topics include construction of the original cell block, the quarrying of Sing Sing marble, the development of American penal design and philosophy, the labor that built the prison, goods produced there, and notable efforts in reform and rehabilitation. The outing concludes with a reflective art activity led by someone formerly incarcerated, connecting the landscape’s artistic traditions with personal perspectives. This program moves forward rain or shine, gathers by the public boat launch in Louis Engel Waterfront Park, and is intended for ages 12 and up, with caregiver discretion for younger children. Comfortable walking shoes, water, and sunscreen are recommended. The route is wheelchair accessible, and letting the museum know in advance helps guides prepare appropriate accommodations.

This casual Pokémon open play invites newcomers and seasoned Trainers to learn the basics, battle other players, and trade cards in a friendly, relaxed setting. All ages and experience levels are welcome, and participants can start at any time. Admission is free.

An informal jam session takes place outside a home, featuring music that spans many genres and decades. The atmosphere is relaxed, with tunes moving from era to era in a casual, street-side setting.

Explore clay in a hands-on workshop centered on creating a pottery planter. Professional ceramic artists lead a demonstration, then participants handbuild and sculpt their own pieces and finish them with glaze. Completed works are fired at Clay Art Center. This introductory session welcomes ages 6 and up with a parent or guardian. An adult is required to participate, tuition is per person, and each adult and child registers separately. Adults and children work on separate projects. Price: $42.

This one-time pottery class is for families, welcoming parents, kids, tweens, and teens who want to learn the potter’s wheel. Building on the success of the previous second annual sale, this third community yard sale returns to West Harrison Village Green, also known as Silver Lake, for a neighborhood day of buying and selling. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis. To reserve a spot, submit the application form provided by the organizers or use the online application, then email to confirm interest. A signed application and payment are required to secure a space, and sending the signed form by text or email can speed things up. Northeast TCG Show 2026 brings trading card game fans and collectors together at Westchester County Center. A survivors meetup in Rockland County, NY brings TTI survivors together with Ian Ueda for connection and mutual support in a welcoming park setting. Expect a space that centers being seen, heard, cared for, and valued. Participants can add their names or messages to a shared support flag and create meaningful memories together. Please bring any snacks or drinks you may want. There are benches available, and anyone who prefers a spot on the grass or nearer to the water should bring a blanket or chair. After the initial gathering, those interested can head to a restaurant as an optional next step. This event is for TTI survivors only, and survivors may bring their children and an emotional support person.

Mason Corboy and Jeremiah Pierce, the acoustic foundation of Mason’s Children, bring a pared back duo performance to Garcia’s. They refined their picking on Shakedown Street while playing for crowds outside Dead & Company and Bob Weir shows, and that experience shapes the sound. The set centers on two stringed instruments, close interplay, and a love for enduring songs.
