A comprehensive 16 plus 2 hour concealed carry pistol training course designed to satisfy New York State and New York City license requirements. Completing this qualification class fulfills the mandated instruction for those applying for a concealed carry license. The course takes place in Mount Vernon, New York. Tuition is $450 for club affiliates and past BluuSon Firearm Training students, and $500 for the general public.

Dive into hinge construction and high temperature wire techniques in a hands-on, two-day ceramics workshop led by artist Juliann Roush. Participants build a stamped slab puffy box or a wall piece that features a barrel hinge, bringing together utility and decoration. Juliann also demonstrates safe and effective approaches to working with high-fire wire and introduces Amaco Satin Matte Glazes, including ways to shape a personal color palette. Everyone practices squeeze-bottle glaze application on a provided stamped bisque tile to test ideas before moving to their own work. Instruction covers making barrel hinges, creating aluminum wire stamps, exploring surface design, constructing with slabs, and adding decorative elements with high-fire wire. Juliann is a functional potter based in Indian River, Michigan, who creates both thrown and handbuilt stoneware. She began studying ceramics at Eastern Michigan University and later continued at City College San Francisco. Her pieces are colorful and playful, often finished with bold, unexpected glaze combinations, and her aim is to make everyday objects feel a little more special. This workshop is designed for advanced beginners through intermediate participants and expects prior experience that includes several ceramics classes. Clay is provided, firing is not included. Open to ages 17 and up. The fee is $390 for the two-day session.

The officially timed, out-and-back course begins and ends at Germonds Park in West Nyack, NY, with traffic support provided by the Clarkstown Police Department. A kids’ fun run open to all ages takes place before the main race. Registration is open.
