At Ballet des Amériques, this Summer Intensive offers a comprehensive pathway for dedicated dancers to advance their technique and artistry. Two program levels are available for ages 9 to 15 and 15 to 22, with highly capable dancers younger than 9 considered through an audition. Daily training centers on technique to build strength, flexibility and precise movement, pointe for experienced students working en pointe, batterie to refine quick footwork and jumps, and barre au sol to deepen understanding of turnout, engage the core and enhance overall alignment. Beyond the core, participants broaden their experience through repertoire drawn from classical and contemporary works, pas de deux, character dance, acrobatics, conditioning, acting skills for stage performance, arts topics tied to dance, dance history and French ballet terminology, along with stylistic studies in hip-hop, Afro-Caribbean and contemporary forms. Kids and teens ages 7 to 14 can dive into a Greek mythology world inside Minecraft at Dobbs Ferry Public Library. Take on a scavenger hunt to find altars honoring the gods, travel through three levels of the Underworld while battling mythical creatures, and build grand shrines, coliseums, and other classic Greek structures. All materials are provided, and you will design a personalized piece to display at home or give as a gift. Projects need 24 hours to cure and will remain at the studio before pickup, and shipping can be arranged for a fee if in-person pickup is not possible. Participants may bring small personal items to embed in their piece, provided they are waterproof or water resistant and no thicker than 1/4 inch.

During Lucky’s East Coast National at Westchester County Center, JSA will be on-site to authenticate autographs. Signatures obtained at the show can be certified for a special rate of $15 per autograph, and previously signed memorabilia brought from home will also be accepted with fees starting at $25. After meeting your guest, visit the authentication booth to complete certification. JSA’s certification is widely accepted by major auction houses, dealers, and collectors, helping enhance the value and marketability of autographed items. Forms may be completed in advance to save time. Please note that cash is not accepted for authentication services at this event.
