Geared toward tweens and teens, this tech studio invites exploration across projects like robotics, programming, and building. Participants can combine activities in any order to suit their interests and let creativity lead the way. Volunteer mentors are available to help participants get started and to offer guidance as ideas develop. Participation is included with museum admission, and members receive it at no extra cost.

The 28th Annual Ohio Pawpaw Festival takes place at a new location while delivering the same festival experience centered on the pawpaw, Asimina triloba, one of the largest tree fruits native to the United States. This weekend-long celebration explores the fruit’s history and future through food and beverages that feature pawpaw, paired with a robust schedule of talks and activities on cultivation, cooking, genetics, medical applications, and broader sustainability topics. Highlights include contests for the best and largest pawpaw, a pawpaw cook-off, recognition for standout pawpaw-themed artwork, and the popular pawpaw-eating contest.

At Hocking County Fairgrounds, a demolition derby brings a full slate of action with classes that include Powerwheels, Street Stock Full-Size, Street Stock Compact, Windshield Compact, and MWFA. Payouts are based on a five entry minimum for each class, and they may be adjusted at the event if turnout falls below that minimum.
