    Fall Equinox Community Weekend 2026

    39825 State Route 684, Pomeroy · verified Sep 13
    Free

Connect with the community outside of other events during a collaborative weekend focused on service and preparation. Contribute five hours of work and receive free camping for the weekend, plus breakfast and dinner that same day. A task list will be shared on the event page and typically includes general cleanup and tidying, landscaping, and event preparation. Participants with special skills or trades experience are welcome to share them. A work orientation meeting takes place at the Pavilion. If you prefer to relax instead of volunteering, paid camping is available for $25 per day, and campers should bring their own food. There are no ticket sales. Those planning to attend and work are asked to mark themselves as “Going” so organizers can plan meals. Paid campers can submit payment at Caffeina’s Cafe in the Pavilion or directly to a staff member. This community weekend usually centers on getting ready for Autumn Fires and other fall projects, with specific tasks to be announced.

    Village Clean Up

Twin City Opera House, 9 W Main St, McConnelsville · verified Sep 13
    Free

This community clean-up brings together neighbors, clubs, and local teams to prepare McConnelsville’s downtown for the inaugural Honey Hop. The gathering point is in front of the Twin City Opera House. Activities begin with a short safety briefing, then small groups will handle litter collection and light beautification around the village. It is well suited for families, student groups, and teams, and contributions of any length of time are appreciated. The effort helps the village shine as guests arrive to explore the Honey Trail, browse local shops, and meet regional beekeepers. Looking ahead, the Honey Hop will feature passport stamping at Honey Hubs across downtown, tastings of distinctive regional honey with seasonal specials in shops, and opportunities to connect with local apiaries while learning about pollinators.
