This Commander league features a Parallel Reality twist inspired by Reality Fracture. Any legendary creature can partner, but only with another version that portrays the same character within the Magic universe. That means pairs like Kaalia the Vast with Kaalia, Zenith Seeker, Ghoulcaller Gisa with Gisa and Geralf, or Urza with The Blind Seer. Commanders from Universes Beyond are excluded, although those cards may appear in the 99. This applies across outside properties, including The Lord of the Rings and Dungeons and Dragons. Both members of a commander pair must be legal commanders on their own. Planeswalkers that are normally eligible to lead a deck are allowed in this format, such as the two versions of Aminatou, and partner cards are fine if both represent the same character, like the two Bruse Tarl cards. For this season, the usual EDHREC popularity limit is lifted. Some characters are not permitted. Atraxa is banned. All Praetors are off the table, including Elesh Norn, Jin Gitaxias, Sheoldred, Urabrask, and Vorinclex. The Eldrazi titans Emrakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek are not allowed. Jodah is banned. Two color versions of Niv Mizzet are not allowed, while the five color options remain acceptable. Deck construction follows a $100 budget that excludes the commander and basic lands. The target power level is casual and social. Do not run infinite two card combos, fast combo lines, chains of extra turns, or mass land destruction. Games should not wrap up before turn eight, and this is not a budget cEDH setting. Participants are asked to keep the environment relaxed and considerate. Build something engaging rather than an oppressive engine, since many pods will play multiple games together. If a matchup feels unpleasant, it is acceptable to avoid playing your league deck or to skip that pairing. Keep the social experience in mind and aim to be a thoughtful opponent. The league spans eight weeks.

Nexus Nights is a weekly casual League of Legends series centered on friendly competition and skill building. Participants play 1v1 across three Swiss rounds, with each round decided in a best of three. It welcomes newcomers learning the basics as well as experienced players trying out fresh strategies. Entry is $5, and prize support is provided in store credit and promo items. Whether the goal is to rack up wins or simply enjoy the community atmosphere, the focus stays on fun and improvement.

A Farewell To Kings brings a live tribute to Rush, performing the band’s biggest hits at The KING of CLUBS in Columbus, OH. The bill also includes One Number Off. This all ages event requires an accompanying adult. Reserved table seating and general admission options are available.

Karaoke takes over Cazuela's North Campus with a songbook of more than 70,000 tracks, offering something for almost every voice. Grab the mic for your favorite tune, team up for a duet, or cheer from the crowd as performers light up the room. Hosted by Ryan Canon, this upbeat gathering centers on music, laughter, and memorable sing-along moments.

Book & Bean offers a theme-based book club with a fresh focus each month. For 2026, the themes move from books released after 2010 to color-inspired selections where a favorite hue appears in the title, on the cover, or in a character, then to works by international authors, memoirs, and titles by writers whose last names resemble your own. The year continues with choices tied to personal hobbies and interests, patriotic selections, sunny beach reads, recommendations from friends, a deliberately polarizing pick, a month celebrating wine, women and song, and finally strange but true stories featuring overlapping historical timelines. New participants are welcome at any time.

Bring your Champion to a weekly standard constructed tournament and enjoy a trading card game experience with fellow anime fans and card game enthusiasts. Entry is $5. Participants can earn Champion Points, Elo, Event Points, and Veterancy. Prizes include promo packs and store credit, with support increasing based on attendance.

Enjoy an affordable weekly Magic: The Gathering Booster Draft at VGMX, with a chance to practice drafting, play, and connect with friends. Draft sets vary, and if the listed set is unavailable, the event will use a Chaos draft. Play is limited to three rounds, with promo packs awarded to top players. Entry is $15 for Reality Fracture drafts and $20 for Star Trek drafts. The draft set varies by month, with Reality Fracture featured during October and Star Trek during the latter part of November and in December.

UAU, featuring Dreamcatcher members JI U, SU A, and YOOHYEON, brings a live concert and special fan interactions to its second American tour. Celebrate debut author Devon Halliday and her novel, To Stay, To Stay, To Stay, which was longlisted for the Center for Fiction 2026 First Novel Prize. Set in an Appalachian college town, the novel follows an ensemble of neighbors whose lives intersect as secrets spread, impulses become resolutions, and they weigh staying in familiar surroundings against stepping into the unknown. Halliday is a Pushcart Prize winner and a Rona Jaffe Foundation Graduate Fellow. Her writing has appeared in Ploughshares, One Story, Liberties, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and elsewhere.

Celebrate the season with a two-day lineup of festive activities at Mt. Gilead State Park Nature Center. The opening evening features a cozy fireside reading of A Charlie Brown Christmas by Rec Aide Clarissa, with seating available and marshmallows provided. A screening of A Charlie Brown Christmas [1965], rated TV-G, follows at the outdoor amphitheater. For comfort, consider bug spray, comfortable clothing, snacks or refreshments, and a blanket or chair. Activities continue with fun based in Shelter House 1 unless noted. An all-day camp scavenger hunt leads participants around the campground, the camp store, and the Nature Center, with checklists and supplies available in the camp store during store hours and small participation prizes available there. A guided Spider Hunt Hike shares the folktale behind the tinsel on your tree while participants search for hidden “spiders” along the path. Dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, and meet at the Nature Center. Creative time includes writing letters to Santa, crafting homemade ornaments, and adding messages to a poster for the Senior Center to share holiday wishes. An evening of experimental performance features hybrid media artist Paul Catanese, collaborative movement and sound collective MouseVision, experimental electronic musician Mkl Anderson’s solo project DREKKA, and experimental musician and percussionist Jake Kundu. The artists bring together practices spanning modular synthesis, tape-based media, voice, Butoh, improvisation, dark ambient, drone, and contemporary percussion.
