This quarter auction invites participants to bid on prizes using numbered paddles and quarters. Admission at the door is $5 and includes one paddle, and additional paddles can be purchased for $1 each. Attendees should bring quarters to bid, or quarters can be purchased at the door. Participants choose which of their paddles to play for that item and place the required number of quarters for each active paddle in the bin on the table. If a number for a paddle that was played is called, that bidder wins the prize for only the quarters placed. For example, someone holding three paddles could enter a two quarter item with two of them for a total of four quarters and would win if one of those active paddle numbers is called. The auction features two rounds with a break in the middle. The organization benefits from vendor table fees, food sales, entry fees, extra paddle sales, a 50/50, any other raffle that takes place, and quarters placed on items donated to the organization, including one item from every vendor.
