Sign up for the Family Fruit and Vegetable Coupon Program during the Community Baby Shower and Diaper Giveaway. Eligible families can receive $140 in coupons to use on free local fruits and vegetables at participating locations. Enrollment is completed in person with a brief form, supplies are limited and available on a first come, first served basis for those who qualify, and nothing extra is needed to take part. To be eligible, participants must be U.S. citizens or meet a citizenship exception, have a minor or a pregnant woman in the household, and have an income at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level.

A yearly PHSC trunk-or-treat brings a night of spooky fun with costumes and treats. Candy will be handed out until supplies are gone, and the evening also features a film under the stars and a friendly chili contest. Sign-ups are available for bringing chili or other supplies, and there are opportunities to host a decorated trunk.

Whitman’s Bike Shop hosts a free, family-friendly Halloween celebration in downtown Saint Paris, filling the afternoon with festive activities, live entertainment, plenty of food, and shopping. Highlights include trick-or-treating with participating vendors and organizations, high-energy live wrestling from Khaos United, a craft and vendor marketplace with handmade goods and boutique finds, a kids zone with games and creative projects, Luna Belle’s cake walk, DJ-spun music, and themed photo opportunities. Community organizations and local businesses will be on hand throughout. An extensive food truck lineup offers choices for every craving, including LaGranja Mexican, Cousins Maine Lobster, Schmidt’s Sausage Truck, Wilson’s Rollin Shmoke LLC, Fat Hammies LLC, Pita Hut Grill, New Orleans Grill, Bacon. Food Truck, The Old Pine Coffee Co., Lou & Crew’s Creamery + Candies, and Luna Belle’s Sweet Shoppe, with options ranging from savory meals to sweet treats and coffee. The event also supports Christmas in the Village’s collection for the St. Paris Food Pantry. Those who wish to contribute may bring nonperishable items such as baked beans, cake or brownie mixes, and tubs of icing. Costumes are encouraged, especially for kids enjoying the trick-or-treat route.

Sundays come with a little extra for families. Children 12 and under enjoy a complimentary kids meal, up to a $15 value, when an adult entrée is purchased. The offer is limited to one free kids meal for each adult entrée. It cannot be combined with other promotions, specials, or dip certificates, and it does not apply on holidays.

A weekly card show celebrates Pokémon, trading card games, and sports cards at Counterbalance Brewing Company. Attendees will find a rotating mix of TCG and sports card tables, plus giveaways and special activities. Admission is free, all ages are welcome, and the brewery offers food and beverages. This final session of the year offers a welcoming family build night created for families of individuals with special needs. In the community room, kids can focus on social interaction while bringing their own LEGO creations to life. Tables are stocked with bins of loose bricks so there is plenty of space to build and chat. Siblings are encouraged to take part and can connect with other siblings who share similar family experiences. The building is wheelchair accessible. Lighting cannot be dimmed or covered. If a creation is going home, it is priced at $1 per ounce. Otherwise, pieces are returned to sanitized bins for future use. A separate Family Bingo Build Night is available for all ages. This offering is available at the Kettering location only.

Teams put their knowledge to the test across eras and genres, welcoming pop lovers, rock devotees, and playlist pros of all ages. It is free to play, and pizza and drinks are available while you compete. Expect a friendly atmosphere, a big dose of nostalgia, and plenty of crowd pleasers as teams chase bragging rights.

Riftbound fans come together for a weekly night of spells, strategy, and summoner battles. The entry fee is $10, with a free-to-play option available. Prizes are paid out in Dust to the top four competitors, with 50 percent of the pool for first place, 30 percent for second, and 10 percent each for third and fourth. All participants receive a three-card promo pack while supplies last. It is a solid setting to test decks and sharpen tactics in preparation for the Summoner Skirmish.

During Downtown Trick or Treat, there will be vendors, a DJ providing music for dancing, and a witches’ costume contest. The Witch Dance will be performed at the top of every hour throughout the event.
